El spa y piscina muy bien. La habitación no estaba limpia, el sofá hundido, el cuarto de baño no tiene ni un perchero y se sale el agua cuando te duchas. Hay alfombras en la habitación, eso nos ha dado mucho asco porque no estaban limpias. Relación calidad precio pésima, como mucho es un 3 estrellas no 5.daba asquito la falta de limpieza.Cobran 5 euros el alquiler de toalla de piscina que no devuelven. Nos dejaron salir 1hora más tarde sin cargo alguno y nos cambiaron a un apartamento porque había sitio sin cargo extra. Las jambas de las puertas abiertas de la fregona. Personal muy agradable. Algunas luces no funcuonaban

Sorprendidos por su baja calidad.

Hotel de 5 estrellas que por instalaciones y calidad es un tres estrellas. Habitación (sin portarrollos en baño, papelera llena a la llegada el primer día, un pañal en el sofá cama al abrirlo. Piscina con desperfectos y sin socorrista!!! Gente con hinflables y con pelotas dentro de ella. Faltaban hamacas. Buffet lo peor de todo... escaso, al mínimo, ni en un albergue de come así. No hay cocina en vivo, solo un pescado uno o dos carnes y algo de verdura cocida, unos ocho platos en total en cada comida. No hay animación en piscina y el todo incluido acaba a las 22:30 horas. Muchos de los empleados no entienden el español o el portugués pues son de origen indio y hablan inglés. Lo mejor el gimnasio.

Estancia en grand clube Praia da oura

Habitación espaciosa y cómoda.piscina gigante y limpia. Gente de otras nacionalidades que hacían uso indebido de instalaciones o molestaban y causaban ruidos. Comida y horario orientado al público extranjero como ingleses o alemanes dejando a un lado las necesidades de otras nacionalidades como española.

Nada, todo fatal y la comida, variedad ninguna, no volvería ni aunque me pagarán, estaba todo malisimo, y había pelo de otra persona enredado en el tapón del lavabo.

Buen hotel en Albufeira

Buen hotel con todo tipo de servicios. Buen restaurante pero algo parco en cuanto a variedad del buffet.

Estancia familiar de cuatro personas Todo incluido

Teniamos resevada una habitación para cuatro personas. En cuanto llegamos la habitación estaba acomodada para dos personas, solo había 2 toallas, 2 mantas, 2 almohadas. No funcionaba el aire acondicionado. No había televisión en el comedor. La bañera no tenía ni mampara ni tapón. Con respecto al todo incluido fue bastante escaso. Todos los días hay 4 platos a elegir. PAra mi parecer es poca variedad para un hotel de 5 estrellas aunque lo cierto es que eran sabrosos. Las unicasa comidas que entran son el desayuno, almuerzo y cena. Si quieres comer entre comidas mejor será que lleves tu propia comida, aunque entre las 16:00-17:00 sirven ''la merienda'' que se limita a unos mini-sandwich, galletas y gomitas. Como punto positivo, tienen un pequeño spa con piscina interior que es gratuito.

En el mismo centro del Algarve . Desde aquí se pueden visitar las mejores playas y si están cansado de viajar a 10 minutos andando Playa de los Alemanes ( muy buena ). El centro de la ciudad de Albufeira a 25 minutos andando.

Habitación grande, próximo a playa.

Habitación muy amplia. Buffet poco variado y deficiente. Atención mejorable.

Un apartahotel de 5 estrellas algo antiguo con respecto a tener cortinas en el baño en vez de mampara y la cocina algo light en electrodomesticos.

Buen aparthotel, aunque le sobra alguna estrella.

Cuando llegamos al hotel querían alojarnos en una habitación de la planta baja que daba a la calle, con lo que nos negamos desde un principio, ya que teníamos hecha la reserva con muchísima anterioridad y no queríamos estar al ras de la carretera. Nos cambiaron a la primera planta, argumentando que no tenían más habitaciones libres; las vistas daban al aparcamiento pero por lo menos no estábamos en la planta baja. La habitación estaba bastante bien, con una cocina bien equipada, un amplio salón, un cuarto con dos camas cuyos colchones no eran muy cómodos, y un baño bastante grande aunque la presión del agua de la ducha dejaba mucho que desear. La zona de la piscina nos gustó, no tuvimos problemas en ningún momento para coger hamacas y la piscina era amplia, con dos zonas diferentes de baño. Para aparcar el coche no tuvimos problemas, siempre encontrábamos algún sitio libre; eso sí, los sitios para aparcar eran muy estrechos, sin mucho espacio para abrir la puerta del coche. En resumen, un buen aparthotel, pero bastante más normal de lo que parece a priori.

Muy contentos

El hotel muy bien, el servicio muy agradable, el director del hotel era una maravilla, cualquier problema se podía acudir a él. El único fallo es que las habitaciones están mal aprovechadas para lo grandes que son, ya que para cuatro personas un baño es escaso, y en vez de sofa cama podrían ser dos camas. Por lo demás estupendo. Lo recomiendo

Average stay

We had an adequate stay at this hotel. It is definitely not luxurious and I wouldn't class it 5 stars. A low 4 stars at best, but as long as you don't expect luxury staying there, it's fine. Reasons for this review: The hotel is clearly quite dated and the rooms aren't in 100% condition. EG our apartment had quite a bit of mould in the corner of the living room and bedroom walls. The curtains were very dated and the couch was very, very worn. We did all inclusive, which gives you access to all the food across the properties in Algarve. The main hotel restaurant had an ok selection but not amazing. It was pretty clear that the staff at the restaurant did their best but they were not staffed adequately because every meal time the tables were not adequately re-set in a timely manner after diners left. Likewise the food was not replenished fast enough and often many dishes were missing for a long time before being replenished. We visited a number of the different restaurants and only the aqua restaurant had a kids menu, which made it challenging with kids as not all the staff were very accommodating about making adaptations for the kids. The alcohol selection for all inclusive wasn't great. Very basic and dated cocktails and the quality of the beer and wine honestly was not good. The pool entertainment was pretty basic. Overall this place was ok but as you can see from above it certainly wasn't luxurious.

Very nice hotel. Clean, spacious and also very quiet, which was good. The location was also good - walk distance to beach, old town and the stripe. The meal (breakfast and dinner) was average. One thing not very happy was for arrange a taxi to Faro airport - was told by the front desk staff that they could arrange taxi with fixed price of 50euro but actually the driver charged by meter for 56euro saying never be fixed

Hotel was very nice could use a bit of updating ie Rooms but very clean. Bar area not big enough for the size of hotel so didn’t use it as much. Food was plentiful and amazing would say 5* but a good 4

Very nice place to spent your holiday!

The Hotel staff was very accomodating Their Shampoo dispenser was poor. The TV channels were very limited and several channels didn't work. There was no oven, but had a microwave. There is washing machine which was very nice. There was a lot of entertainment around the pool. Good restaurants walking distance.

Tout est là pour nous faire passer un bon moment attention quand même aux horaires du resto du bar de la salle de jeux etc …

A nice stay in this hotel, which was a good base to explore Albufeira and around. The property is a little bit tired, but the rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, the spa was functional (though closing at 6pm is a bit early) and the staff were friendly, particularly Cristiano at reception who gave us excellent local recommendations throughout our stay and was always a friendly face.

Hotel and rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable.We went all inclusive and the food was good with plenty of choice. The staff were very friendly especially Andreia and Miguel. We would definately stay there again in the future if holidaying in Albufeira

A great week in the Forte do Vale hotel. Loved the hotel and facilities, a great variety of food options (and plenty of veggie options). Good location for the beach, local park and really enjoyed being able to use the sister hotel's facilities as well. Would recommend.

Nice hotel, very spacious rooms. Went out of season so just 1 restaurant in hotel which was nice, other restaurants advertised were elsewhere in town. We tried the Chinese which we'd suggest you avoid.

Hotelli on nähnyt parhaimmat vuodet aikoja sitten, perusaamianen ei ihmeellinen,allaspyyhkeitä ei saatavilla ja huoneesta ei saanut ottaa pyyhkeita altaalle, spa erittäin huono mm.ei toiminnut poreallas ja piti ostaa uimalakki et pääsi uimaa ! myös pyyhkeistä piti maksaa,huone oli todella huono max 3*** ja äänet kuulu todella kovaa viereisestä huoneesta,pettymys.

Really nice hotel in a quiet location, walkable to the Old Town, the beach and the Strip. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable, air-conditioning was welcome, shower was decent. Restaurant had a good range of dining options and all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Loved the pool with its lunchtime barbecue and bar. We will return again next year!

We really enjoyed our stay as a couple . The outdoor pool I feel needs some repairs on the tiles as when you were in the pool you could feel broken tiles underneath your feet. We were very happy with the food and there was a good choice . We would come back again.

Overall ok

Stay was good overall, food was standard, poolside was good. The Barman in the poolside bar was brilliant, was so creative with the drinks and was always making new concoctions for us to try which were delicious! Staff were all really friendly. Entertainment was poor except the quiz night was good. Hotel was ok for the 3 nights we stayed.

We really liked this Hotel. Close to walk to the beach and plenty of eateries. All inclusive options are ok, but we went for eating out instead, with the occasional meal in the hotel. The only down side is the sofa bed was terrible to sleep on; you could feel every spring. But would definately return.

Great location

It was a comfortable stay, love the location of our room as it was few steps away from the pool and the beach. Everything was in immaculate conditon in our apartment however there was probably a blockage in the bathroom drainage that gave a foul smell. Luckily enough we only spent 2 nights, however, overall stay was very good and reception were very helpful and friendly.

Enjoyed everything about it from the friendly staff to the layout of items to make the place look vibrant and upbeat plus the locals are all friendly

5 étoiles mais vieillissant donc je dirais plutôt 4 étoiles. Nous avons été upgrade mais dans une chambre plutôt favorable aux PME plutôt qu à un couple. Piscine, bain turc et sauna vieillissant mais ont le mérite d exister. Personnel sympathique et très serviable et donnant de bon conseil. Bien situé.

The hotel was really nice, staff was friendly And helpful. Everything is walking distance away (10 minutes max). The all inclusive dinner restaurants aren’t that great though. I would stay here again and would recommend the mgm company to others. I do feel like they can update their decor. Other than that. Great stay!!

A warm welcome at reception by Carlos and Christanos nothing to much trouble. Will return again next year for sure.

Just back from a great stay at this hotel. It was spotlessly clean very comfortable and staff were very friendly We have been to albuferia many times and we would definitely stay here again It’s a very central location ideal for both old town and new and plenty of shops near by

The grounds of the hotel, pool area and communal areas were all very clean. Apartment was large and quiet. Well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, microwave etc. Well situated for both the new and old town. Large supermarket nearby and lovely bakery.

Bit of a let down.

Its says it a 5 star hotel. I would barely give it 3 stars. The rooms are old and dated. the beds felt old, the sofa slumped in the middle and the toilet seat was chipped. The only plus was room was a good size and it was very clean. Breakfast wasn't great. they had two counters keeping the food hot but one wasn't working so the food in that one was cold. I don't really like cold sausages and beans. Staff knew it wasn't working but made no effort to transfer the food to the working counter or to keep it warm by other means. very disappointing

Very nice communication, welcoming and friendly staff. the room I staid in and for example the seats at the swimming pool are a little worn down. some things are damaged are not properly working anymore. but not in that degree that I did not enjoy my stay. Good beds.

Good hotel in good location

Great sized apartment rooms with fully fitted kitchens. The hotel is located in the middle of the old town and the strip so a few minutes walk and you have plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. The beach is also only 10 minutes walk away. The pool area is good and a real sun trap during the day. The hotel staff are friendly and speak a number of languages. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when visiting Albuferia

De ligging van de accomodatie is prima. In een buitenwijk van Albufeira, aan een doorgaande weg. Strand op loopafstand, Old Town op 20 min. lopen. De Strip dichter bij, maar daar zijn we niet geweest. Leuk restaurantje om de hoek. De bedden waren top! De accomodatie heeft een verouderde, foeilelijke inrichting. Wie dit alles bij elkaar heeft gezocht, mag zich achter de oren krabben. De Action is er niks bij. 5 sterren is het inmiddels niet meer waard, zeker ook door het ontbijtbuffet. Voor 5 sterren is dit echt ondermaats. Aan het personeel ligt het niet, hardwerkend en super vriendelijk.

Séjour agréable en général. Hôtel est bien situé et beau. L’appartement est bien spacieux et offre des équipements très nécessaires comme machine à laver, fer à repasser. Par contre, au niveau du nettoyage des appartements et piscine peuvent mieux faire! Le nettoyage de l’appartement laisse à désirer, ça n’a jamais était bien fait c’était vite faite bien fait. Juste une loque mouillé qu’on traine les saletés d’un côté à l’autre et c’est tout. La table extérieur était rempli de poussière à notre arrivée c’est moi même qui a dû nettoyer après quelques jours car sinon elle serait restée sale jusqu’à la fin de mon séjour hors j’ai fait un séjour de 19 jours! Les draps de lit étaient changés une fois par semaine, ok, mais hors cette fois là le lit était fait n’importe comment. On mets les draps par dessus et c’est tout on arranche pas les draps on secoue pas les draps … La douche faut de la patience pour se laver car la pression de l’eau n’est pas terrible. La piscine est bien spacieuse mais transats on a eu de la chance que l’hôtel n’était pas complet suite à la situation Covid car sinon pas de place pour tout le monde et l’eau un peu froide. De même pour le parking extérieur si l’hôtel est complet pas de place pour tout le monde. Personnel agréable en général, mais je ne trouve pas normal qu’on engage du personnel qui ne comprend pas la langue du pays, comme au niveau du restaurant, il parlait l’anglais! Pour un hôtel 5 étoiles, il y a des points à revoir!

It is not a 5 star property. Its actually a 3 star equivalent. Their prices are low but then they try to take money for things like daily charges for use of locker present in room. Tea facilities provided but you are not provided tea bags. You can use swimming pools but you have to buy a cap to cover your hairs. Cheap practices.

Big disappointment

In desperate need of refurb. Cleanliness was shockingly bad, especially bathroom. Poor choice of food and quality. Although we don’t really drink, only local beer and cheap vodka / rum within all-inclusive so stay away from it if you do like your evening drink. Swimming pool (both indoor and outdoor) not the most welcoming place ever, but relatively good gym if you choose to use it. Also packed breakfast only and no lunch on last day as they were closing the hotel, despite having some gusts?!? Within positives, all team very friendly and helpful.

Room couldn’t fault at all. Spa was really good on the days that weren’t as sunny. Food was really tasty and good although the last day I asked for a coke from the back and it came with a cluster of ants which was off putting . Little things such as waiting for a drink at the bar when being the only person as the bar as no one was behind the bar, the pool bar not being open till 12 so not being able to get a drink from breakfast shutting to 12 was a bit of a pain. Some of the staff were very friendly others looked like they didn’t want to be there. Overall good stay but things to improve on .

Nice hotel, great location, rooms need TLC

Great location of hotel and clean and modern in most areas. Some areas of the rooms are a little dated and the sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Food was OK, but not brilliant. Pool was very cold.

The suite I rented for my son and his newly wedded bride was spectacular. My suite however was a disappointment. There was no television in the bedroom.

Great time

We had a great stay. Appartment right beside rhe pool. The pool so relaxed quiet music , entertainment there if you wanted it but not intrusive . Just a very relaxed atmosphere loved it

Spacious room. Pool area was nice. Great location, short walk to old town, new strip or beach. Staff at reception were exceptional. Fridge in room came in handy for drinks. Only downside was daily housekeeping was just to change the towels. Sheets weren’t changed for a whole week and room didn’t get a dust or sweep in a whole week, so flood got quite grubby.

The apartment was very worn , the couch needed to be replaced very uncomfortable to sit on . The big brown mat on the floor I would get rid of . The cushions were very smelly . The windows and patio door was in need of cleaning , you could just about see out the window .

Lovely Hotel/Apartment, very friendly and helpful staff. In a great location. Cannot speak highly enough of my stay there. Will definitely stay there again.

L'hôtel est superbe, tout près des plages et des restaurants et lieux de sorties tout en étant dans une zone calme. Le personnel est très agréable et serviable, notre séjour a été ponctué de plusieurs petites attentions. Petit bémol sur la qualité du petit déjeuner qui est certes bien achalandé, mais pas de très bonne qualité,c'est dommage vu le standing de l'hôtel.

Très grande chambre acec salon et cuisine. Excellent service. Petit bémol: il serait utile que la cuisine dispose d’un petit kit de départ pour laver la vaisselle et les vêtements.

Disappointing on so many levels

Wifi in the room was virtually non existent. We were booked from Friday to Monday and despite being out of the room for most of the day on Saturday, our room had not been cleaned by 5:30 pm when we got back. Then we were told that the rooms are not cleaned on Sundays so our room did not get cleaned at all during our stay.

We all loved the spa and gym, however the hot tub wasn't hot at all. Hotel staff are very friendly. Fresh towels were provided daily, but anything like a shower cap etc wasn't replenished. The hotel is in an ideal location as only 10 minute walk to the beach and strip and 15 mins walk to Old Town. Lots of places to eat nearby. Evening buffet at the hotel is reasonable at €18 but food choice was limited. My only criticism is that there was no drinking water provided upon arrival and as our flight was a late one all supermarkets were closed when we arrived at the hotel. There is a vending machine at the hotel with water but we had no change neither did reception so that wasn't at all helpful to us. But we had a lovely stay at Forte Do Vale!

Geat hotel !

I really cant fault this hotel, everything exceeded our expectations. If a have a tiny complaint its the fact that the room safe cost 2.80 euro a night to rent, I think it should be like wifi, free of charge. To be fair the manager said they would look into this fee. Everything else was superb, I didnt try the food however as there are so many dining options nearby. Lovely hotel, you wont be dissapointed !

Hotel was nice, stayed here before usually with the wife, this time with friends. We had several rooms most of which were great, some of which needed slight attention. Hotel is starting to look tired in certain areas. Would highly recommend the hotel due to great value (This is obviously dependant on date of stay) Reception desk staff were great very helpful with a vast knowledge of the local area.

We really enjoyed our stay, it is a good location for both the new town and old town. Room was big and comfortable.

Outstanding

Outstanding. Beautiful hotel. Excellent location, 5 mins walk to beach, 10 mins to the strip, 10 mins to large shopping center and supermarket and mcds and kfc. Moped hire near mcds, highly recommend it. Hotel very clean and defentiley 5 star. We had one bedroom junior suite, highly recommend it, overlooking pool with sea view in distance. Beautiful decor. Very clean and spacious. Extras including iron, hairdryer, washing machine and dishwasher. Very quiet. Clean towels arrived everyday. Staff extremely friendly. Games room such fun. Didn’t use spa facilities but looked good. Breakfast all you can eat 7.50 euros. Mini supermarket 2 minutes at the side with a lovely restaurant next to that that you get 3 course for 9.50. Land train stops right outside to take you around albuferia. Albufeira is a beautiful place. This hotel is highly situated to enjoy both the peace and quiet and the bars and clubs if needed. Beaches out of this world.

It was well maintained and clean regularly rooms were large and clean

Everything was excellent. Staffs were friendly and helpfull. Great breakfast with loads of choices. Nice big, clean apartment. Will definitely stay again if we go back to Albufeira again. It’s especially good for family with young children.

Very Disappointing stay

The Hotel was in a good position to get to Albufeira old town, but the hotel itself was very cold as well as the apartment we stayed in. We where all inclusive for x2 nights for the first time & to be quite honest it did not live up to my expectations. The first night the food was very ordinary & all together not very good , we where so disappointed that we ate out on the 2nd night. The breakfast was quite good but the restaurant was not very big & sometimes you have to wait to be seated. The bar area was not very big also & again seating was a problem. A very disappointing stay .

If you get the right room you will be fine, but sadly a Studio room with a large partition wall splitting it in half is not a one bedroomed apartment. As we were only staying for a week we let it go, but it is not acceptable as a rule to advertise the above. But to be honest we will not be returning to Albufeira it is simply boring especially the New Town which is to be avoided like the plague. It is a pit to be quite candid. Unless you are out to get hammered on drink and don't mind countless hen and stag parties. Then it will be heaven. But for families? AVOID!

Hotel is clean and tidy. Apartments are a good size with everything you need in there. Our room was above the entrance which made for a very noisy experience. People waiting on coach pick ups our out having a cigarette meant the noise travelled straight up to our room. Likewise the noise coming from the bar. The entrance foyer design enhances the noise which isn’t ideal. Hotel would be better if it was adults only. The noise of screaming kids in the entrance/hallways would put me off returning. The Spa is adequate but they insist you wear a swimming cap in the pool / jacuzzi. These can be purchased at the reception, but given that it was empty most of the time suggests that no one fancied the idea of wearing one. I certainly didn’t. Hotel is rated 5 star. I’d say it’s more like a 4 at best. Very clean, lovely entrance area. Rooms could benefit from modernisation.

The hotel has everything you should need..It has a built in radio, razors, toothbrush, shower gel, hairdryer, bath, air con, tv with English channels, sky news, large pool, the list is endless Its 10 min to a beach and 20 to old town and 10mins to the strips Taxis are fairly cheap Will deffo be back
