We just love the Beachomer. Been coming here for over 40 years

Was impressed with the room overall. Lots of space, clean and modern. Bed was way too soft, especially at the headboard end. Please replace this bed and it’ll be 5/5 stars.

This was an Amazing place to stay..

The staff was very helpful when I had a problem with the TV. They were always there to help. Room was beautiful and modern colors such as grays and whites, etc. Even had a built in fire place the was very real looking and emitted heat too. Too bad it was November and not August so I could enjoy the beach.

I stayed overnight at this property for a wedding, and I was surprised how wonderful the place was! The rooms were perfect. I will be looking at Beachcomber when I think about trips this coming summer. I will definitely recommend this property to friends looking to stay down in the area too!

There is a heated pool and a hot tub that the Beachcomber keeps open through Veterans Day! The Beachcomber is ideally located a block from the beach with restaurants nearby.

The location is excellent! The property is clean and has all the comforts of home. It is relaxing and quiet, making it the perfect beach trip.

If you want a clean hotel that is kid friendly and is centrally located on Seven Mile beach on the Jersey Shore, this is the place. Cannot find even an average quote to place on this hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking is simple. Location is just one block off beach. Pool is spacious and great for kids. Large hot tub also. This is really a great option when visiting the shore.

Great vacation - excellent property. Had a bit of trouble parking a couple of nights because there were quite a few cars that did not have permits to park on site (as evidenced by the orange warning cards on the windshields) Room was in great shape - very comfortable

Would stay here again! Very clean, very nice pool area with 3 grills. Pool stayed open late. Rooms were always clean, plenty of towels.

Love this property ! My second time staying here - I come to cape May for my daughter’s dance competition and it’s my favorite place to stay . Rooms are always clean and comfortable and the staff is super helpful when needed . Family friendly and quiet ! My only tip would be to bring your own towels for the pool as they do not provide and the bath towels can be a little small - but I will Definitely book here in the future !

We were there for an extended family getaway. The staff was courteous, quick to respond, and extremely helpful. The three rooms we booked were all different, very homey, and had all the amenities we needed that we didn't have to bring along. Our rooms all had kitchenettes that were stocked with all the cookware and dinnerware you would need, but since it was a weekend we ate out. we did use the coffee pot Keurig you need to bring your coffee and tea in the pods. the sofa, chairs, and table were comfy as were the beds. We will stay there again and are happy to promote this establishment.

Check out with seamless. They were very helpful and right to the point kudos to the staff.

I made a reservation through Expedia only to arrive and find out that the property was CLOSED! There was no emergency contact through Beachcomber or Expedia. So were were left hours from home with no place to stay. Very disappointed that this was not communicated. There was no problem with the charges being made to my credit card!

This was a perfect place to stay with our two young kids. Thanks so much to the awesome management too!

clean and quiet this time year

One Night Stay

This is a nice place to stay. We had a one night stay for to attend a wedding and it was during the December so it was not creamy with beach goers. Just the fact that they were open at this time of year is great because other places around it were not. The price was very reasonable through hotels.com. We forgot to bring a plug to charge our devices and the resort does not have USB outlets so make sure you have everything you need to go away when staying here. But all the regular amenities of a hotel are available.

Yearly Avalon Getaway

Stay here every Summer!! Staff is great, property is well maintained and the pool and outdoor entertainment area are a gem!

The Beachcomber was a well maintained property. The employees were hospitable and helpful. The rooms were charming and comfortable and the location was great - close to the beach - a block from the beautiful beach - and perfect for walking, biking and relaxing. Nice pool area and music in the early evening. I will definitely return.

The property was lovely. Booked through Expedia. I had paid in full then was charged a resort fee upon arrival. Also tv volume button was broken. Unable to watch tv Saturday night. This was disappointing. The day I checked out check in area smelled like food.

I stay here every year. LOVE IT! Wish I owned one of these units. :)

Had a good stay. Property appeared well cared for. Pool was clean and nice. We stayed in Room 110, which is a studio. Was nicely decorated and clean. I would stay here again. Only recommendation is some sound proofing between the rooms could be better. I could hear a baby crying next door and people hanging out outside.

Kitchen minimally equipped, especially missing a toaster for breakfast. Otherwise, though the weather was uncooperative, the place was fine.

We were looking for somewhere to stay for a weekend getaway but It was soo cute. The staff was super friendly during checkin and check out! Housekeeping staff was also very friendly and nice. The room was so homey, clean, comfy and beautiful. I would definitely come again!

Was a cozy clean place

My husband and I stayed in a Studio and we were first time guests. The studio was absolutely beautiful and was furnished with everything that we needed. Extremely clean, comfortable bed, extra blanket. Convenient to shopping and a 2 minute walk to the beach.

Old but well maintained

This property was an the perfect location, for a fraction of the price of surrounding hotels. We were delighted with our one bedroom suite.

DISAPPOINTED

We were going to a wedding and this hotel was recommended by the venue The Reeds. Hotel exterior is nice and literally 1 block from beach, which is very nice for a sunset stroll. They have a heated pool and a large jacuzzi, neither if which we used as there was a private party happening. After waiting for about 15mins to check in we were given our key with directions to our 2nd floor room. Unfortunately when we arrived in our room we were very disappointed. Room was ok but tired looking. Kitchen and bathroom were nice. Upon further inspection the sectional sofasleeper had stains and was collapsed in and very hard and uncomfortable to sit on. The bed was so soft and uncomfortable you felt as if you were falling in. The dining chairs were dirty with several odd white stains on them. We had to put towels on both the sofa and chairs to sit. When I tried to change rooms I was informed that hotel was fully booked as there were several other weddings in the area. Since I had the wedding next day we had no other option but to stay. We had several family members staying at this hotel as well, some with updated rooms, others with a similar or worse experience than mine. This condo/hotel needs to Update/Renovate ALL their rooms.or at least the furniture. RENTER BEWARE, ask if your room has been updated before finalizing booking.

We enjoyed our stay at the Beachcomber. Our 3 bedroom unit was beautifully decorated and very clean. The tenants directly above us were very loud till the early morning hours which took a little away from our stay but overall I would recommend staying here. Be aware there is no elevator which was not an issue for us but an older friend traveling with us struggled with the stairs.

Room, although small, was well appointed, quality linens, well equipped and extremely clean.

My daughter & I stayed here for a 3 day vacation. We rented the 2 bedroom unit & it was perfect for the 2 of us. Unit was clean, roomy, & close to the beach which we loved. Had a nice pool & hot tub area where you could just sit & relax. Also a balcony to sit on in the afternoon. Went in September & would definitely stay here again.

The property is right on a boulevard with bike lanes, so you can easily bike anywhere on the island. It's also close to the beach, a fun brewery and beach bar. The units are clean and great for a weekend getaway.

Wish I could have stayed longer! Weather was perfect, beach was a block away and the hot tub in the pool area was great. Hotel is located about 15 blocks from central shopping/restaurant area in Stone Harbor - I walked it in 25 minutes.

Yearly Pilgrimage

Always enjoy my yearly trek here. Such a lovely stay and have been coming for so long that it feels like a family reunion with the staff. Great location and very walkable too! See you next Summer...had such a nice stay that I might book twice in 2022!

Great Time

Could have stayed here the entire time, but we had a wedding to go to!

The place is very clean, quiet, the staff are very attentive and helpful. I recommend it 100 percent to relax as a family or as a couple, we will return if God allows it.

The unit was very clean and convenient for the wedding we were attending. The pool was refreshing and the parking was a great benefit since it was a busy weekend. Easy walk to the beach or the shops in Stone Harbor. Having a kitchen with refrigerator was also a bonus.

The property was clean and the staff was friendly. It was two blocks from the beach. I think it should be more user friendly to handicap people, there side walks between the rooms, parking and the pool are not for anyone who may have a slight walking issue and there are no elevators. If you had a wheel chair you would never be able to move around the property.

Property was very clean! The actual room was amazing. 3 bedroom 2 bath. Pool and hot tub were very clean! There are no complaints. Will stay there again and definitely recommend to griends.

Love it!

Super nice property! Heated pool a d hot tub were available during our April stay. They allowed us to check into the room early. Very east check in and check out process. Everyone we interacted with was friendly. The other hotel guests were nice as well. Overall excellent vibe. 3 bedroom condo was PERFECTION! Returning on Memorial Day weekend and again in June.

The rooms were charming & the ocean was right across the street.

The room was small but clean, and it had a stove and full size refrigerator, in addition to a full size microwave.

Amazing place, the room was super clean and the hotel did not spare expenses with the bathroom tiles, towels and faucets. The decor was great, the town has so much to offer. I checked the youtube video ARSIL fun trips and got a lot of ideas. I hope people don’t ruin this nice place.

Completely renovated and wonderful

Property has been renovated and is wonderfully updated and excellent. Friends of mine from high school get together every year and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay together here this past weekend. Will definitely stay next year

Very disappointed

We went our honeymoon to the shore. When we arrived we loved the look of the room and the closeness to the beach. However, I found that the room wasn't as clean as we had hoped. There were some dirty marks from previous people on the kitchen table and in the little kitchen area. We found hair in the sheets. Worst part is when we woke up the next day we had bites all over our feet and back, which we are certain are from bed bugs. We are so disappointed and will not be staying again

Wonderful Stay except paper thin walls & ceilings

Wonderful wonderful stay.. updated and very pleasant staff, absolutely spotless. My only complaint was that the condo above from me had guests that every night after 9:30 pm decided to drag chairs or something consistently and made lots of noise. Trying to sleep and hearing the pushing in and out of chair upstairs became an issue. Maybe their kitchen is above the bed I was in? Don't know but definitely paper thin ceiling and walls. You can hear everything, even the next door guests throwing up. Hope she is ok? Otherwise, wonderful stay.

Always love coming down to this place. I was a bit misled by the room description and it having a Murphy bed but we made the most of it. I hope to be back next summer in a non Covid world and a vibrant Surfside 7’s tournament to compete in.

I normally stay at hotels in the surrounding area, but this year I was going for a more cost efficient place. This place surpassed my expectations! The room was huge, facilities unmatched, and a super short walk to the beach. I couldn’t recommend this enough!

Weekend getaway

My girlfriends and I wanted a nice little weekend getaway and we choose Avalon on a whim not knowing anything about the area because we have never been here before and the beachcomber exceeded all of our expectations. The room was very clean and fit all of our needs. Since COVID we decided we wanted to be able to cool ourselves food and this place had very clean big grills to use and we used them every night. The beachcomber is in walking distance from the beach as well as a couple of bars/restaurants. We definitely will be coming back sooner than we think!!!

My only complaint is the air conditioner. It was as quiet as a Harrier jet!! Unfortunately it looks like all the units have those terrible in-wall units. The weather was extremely hot during our stay, so not running the air con at night was not possible. That would be my only complaint. The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job. Great getaway

Was fabulous to have the pool with the virus and not really wanting to be at the beach too much. And great to have a kitchen to save on food.

The Beachcomber Studio room was VERY small for four people, and unfortunately, I didn't look too much into it when booking. (Knowing what I know now, I would NOT recommend a Studio room for any more than 2 people. However the room was clean, comfy, and close to the beach. The fully equipped kitchen was nice. The refrigerator was bigger than I thought, and it came with a nice coffee pot and powerful microwave.The internet is not very strong so that was kind of annoying. But the pool area was nice and you just can't beat the location. All in all, I definitely recommend- just be careful what size room you go for.

Nice place with lots to do

Our family of four stayed in one of the studio type rooms. Great for the price. Thankfully the air conditioner worked well and drowned out any noise coming from the thin walls. Very clean and nice to have a full size refrigerator. Would definitely stay again.

What a great place! Would definitely stay again. I wasn't expecting much but it was very clean and the room was spacious and clean. Can't beat the location too. I was there for a girls' trip but will definitely take my family here soon!

Nice accommodations in a great location. Nice outdoor grilling area and lounging area by the pool. Short walk to the beach and the nearby beach bars...great value.

I did NOT like that my Son and his girlfriend had to sleep on the couch because they had no sheets and blanket for the pullout. The heat did NOT work in the front of the room so not only did they not have a blanket they were freezing. we had to give them our blanket off our bed. We got there at 4 p.m. and left to go to a party at 5. The office was closed when we returned. I spoke to the front desk lady when we were checking out and told her the issues we had. She told me she was going to credit us through Expedia. I called yesterday and she never did. Not very happy
