Stayed a few times now. My wife and I love it. And we will continue to stay. The wild life is amazing. Had some possums drop in last night, I was chatting to them but they aren’t really much for conversation. Just interested to see if we had anything we could feed them. The peacefulness is so relaxing. I awoke to the sound of magpie's, for me it’s like a mini recharge. Love it.

The photos didn’t do this place justice! The decor is warm and inviting, and the Cypress cottage faces a dam with birdlife, which created a tranquil setting. The owners were so friendly and we loved seeing the animals on site too.

It was well located for peace and quiet .well maintained property ,very neat and tidy ,they have thought of everything you would need to have ,even kindling matches fire lighters.,we would comevback to stay again .

Great, comfortable, quiet cottage hidden away in the trees. Just what we were looking for

This was a beautiful cottage and the attention to detail was amazing. The only thing that held it back was the quality of sleep due to the lack of comfort of the mattress. It was like a board and ruined what would have been a perfect stay.

Fantastic location close to Girraween National Park. Immaculately clean cottage with beautiful bushland and manicured gardens. Kids loved swimming in the dam and sitting by the fire in the evening. Kangaroos wander through in the evenings and are great to watch from the verandah.

peace and quiet and relaxing

Each cabin is very private and in has surrounding trees. Wood heater inside with wood supplied. We lit our heater last night. Was very pleasant and warm. They are a fully self contained kitchen, bathroom has a great shower. Our bed was comfy and lotsa blankets for this time of year. It’s so peaceful of a night. Love it. Will be back again.

We loved our stay, this is an amazing property and the cottages are very nice.

Gorgeous cabin retreat, perfect for a weekend getaway. The owners are a lovely family and only too happy to assist with anything you need. Great spot in between Stanthorpe and Ten, and close to many wineries.

Great Plavce and warm friendly hosts

We arrived and were greeted with the usual friendliness that we have always enjoyed. The room was immaculate and the facilities were above our expectations.

The property needs some maintenance. Check in procedures and communication from the owners is lacking. Also, if a fault is reported, they investigate but then don't do anything to remedy the fault. A beautiful place but some of these small things were frustrating and I left early. Which is unfortunate

A great stay away from the busy city. Comfortable accommodation in with a farm feel

Cabin with a View

All the cabins are spaced out very privately- I had a great view of the property dam where you can do some kayaking. Cabin was well supplied with everything you need including a BBQ and all supplies you need for the fireplace. Wish I could have stayed longer.

A beautiful 4 day getaway in a gorgeous little studio cabin with all needed. So, so clean. Our cabin had a front yard of granite boulders. All cabins looked very private. The property was back from road so did not see cars. And very well maintained. Take your music though as little to no phone reception. I would definitely stay there again. Very close to national Park. ...

The property was perfectly provided for. It had everything we needed and we had a great time. A perfect base camp for those wanting comfort after hiking all day.

Charming Colonial Cottage

Private and charming cottage with lovely outlook. Kitchen facilities were very good for self catering and the bbq on the deck was a welcomed addition.

Very quiet and beautiful surroundings. The spacious cottage has everything so we felt very cozy and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there

Our cottage was a safe and cosy haven to return to at the end of each day after exploring all the region has to offer. The fabulous location was close by to many of our to do visits, wineries, restaurants, attractions etc. Highly recommend Cypress Ridge Cottages

Beautiful welcome on arrival. Quaint neat cottage in a great location for girraween National park and local wineries. Only down side was the pull out sofa the kids were supposed to sleep in… not comfortable :-(.

Great Place

Very enjoyable stay. Everything provided including wood for the fireplace.Very private amongst nature and serene. close to wineries and national parks. St Judes at Ballandean has excellent food and drink.

Beautiful cottage

The cottage was lovely. Spotlessly clean, beautiful bedding and lots of extra blankets (which were also clean), excellent wood heater, and a good amount of kitchen pots, pans, plates and utensils. The property was also lovely with a dam, bushwalks and visiting kangaroos. Onsite owners/operators were very friendly and helpful. We loved our stay.

The property is well off the road so it is very peaceful. Sitting on the front verandah I enjoyed watching King Parrots and a bower bird in the tree by the railing. Inside was a very comfy setup - a home away from home with thoughtful inclusions, lovely styling, clear instructions on how to use items such as the wood heater. Was pleasantly surprised to note that there was no mould at all around the shower - excellent cleanliness throughout. Although internet can be patchy, we had no issues (esp great for my husband to conduct a lecture via zoom). We also enjoyed the mob of 5 kangaroos that visited us several times plus watching blue wrens flitting in shrubs outside the kitchen window. Very much looking forward to returning one day.

Very clean cottage which has everything I need and very quiet environment. Very friendly owner welcomed us. I’d like to go back again. Highly recommended.

Loved Cypress Ridge Cottage

My husband and I and two children (10 & 7 y.o.) had a wonderful time. Stayed in Jacaranda Cottage which was ideal for the four of us. Extremely clean and tidy. Warm and cosy inside. Well appointed. Electric blankets. Wood fire place which was on when we arrived which made the cottage nice and warm. Bottle of milk in the fridge which was wonderful to have a cuppa after the drive. Great idea, thank you 😊. Short drive to Ballandean Tavern for dinner. Plenty to do and visit on the Granite Belt without visiting wineries. Our children loved climbing over granite boulders on property and visiting the sheep and Kai the pony. We felt very much at home and reluctant to leave. We’ll stay again and suggest it to friends. Thank you!

Beautiful cottage, very clean.appealing surrounding. true bush cottage feeling. The wood fire place was a first time for me and may be that is why it took us long to get the fire started and get the house warmed....It was really cold the night we were there. Next time, I think i will go prepared.

The cottage was well equipped and the surroundings were private. The walks around the property were enjoyable. The cottage verandah was a very pleasant place to pass the day

Lovely quiet location and helpful friendly staff made for an enjoyable stay.

The cabin was just lovely, facing a small dam, with kangaroos in abundance every morning. The cabin was very homey and had all the things we needed for our stay - toaster, good sized fridge, and an electric blanket on the comfy bed (with dual controls). We cannot wait to come back to Cypress Ridge Cottages for our next trip to Girraween National Park - it is SO CONVENIENT for such a trip!

Great location close to wineries and bush setting

The cottage was nestled in a lovely bush setting with lots of privacy. Everything we needed was provided including cooking oil which we’d forgotten. There were even mosquito coils and insect repellent. Quality coffee bags were a nice surprise as was the locally made soap and toiletries. Overall we had an awesome 3 night stay and will definitely be returning.

Fantastic stay in very cosy, clean and very well appointed cabin for two. Great attention to detail. Perfect base for Girraween NP. We’ll be back!

The cottage was beautiful for a few days away. A warm functioning fireplace make it cosy. Staff are friendly and close to Balleandean and 15 mins to Stanthorpe. And the garlic products are to die for.

Very comfy stay

Very comfy stay with comfy bed & modest but adequate kitchen. The bathroom was clean and everything worked well. Our review just missed 5 stars due to some minor concerns eg super small TV screen and a moderately larger screen could easily be wall mounted. Would have appreciated some smaller logs so lighting the fire would be easier, but we coped. The cabin was very cute and it was nice to share our surrounds with kangaroos. Also just a 5 minute drive to the town for shop and dining.

Very peaceful and private, which was lovely. Close to some great vineyards and cellar doors in Ballandean as well as close to Girraween National Park.

Lovely stay in bush setting

We stayed one of the studio cottages with a fireplace & wood provided, comfy queen bed, 2 lounge chairs, small but equipped kitchen (with fridge, 2burner cooktop, microwave, kettle), a nice balcony with 2 chairs & table looking into the trees and a private open air bbq. We had a lovely stay and it’s only about 20mins drive to Girraween National Park’s hiking trails. There are larger family cottages as well and space for kids to run around and scramble over boulders etc. Its also close to some great wineries. Owners were friendly and helpful with advice and information.

Beautiful cabin and scenery

We had an amazing time and found time to walk the property and take in the beautiful scenery. The cabin, Cypress, was very tidy and the fire made for a warm and toasty night in the country.

My husband and I had a fantastic time, the cottage was really clean and had everything we needed. Bed was really comfy and plenty of blankets. There was a book in the cottage of the family history and places that you can go too etc wish we both found interesting and helpful. I would highly recommend Cypress Cotteges.

Perfect place to stop on a road trip with the family. The cottage and surrounds are just gorgeous and you get a great taste of what it’s like living in the Australian bush but with the luxuries of a fireplace that warms the house beautifully, a well equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom and crisp, fresh linen. Waking up to the sound of kookaburras laughing was the icing on the cake!

I can't think of a better place to stay for those wishing to leave the world behind for a day or two to explore the region. private and cozy and good old fashioned country hospitality.

Lovely cottage, relaxing stay

Spacious cottage, very clean and homely. Gourmet breakfast was substantial with quality products supplied. Location felt a little isolated about 15 -20 mins from Stanthorpe. There was a very small town just 3kms away, nothing special and very limited in food options for dinner.

Beautiful bush stay experience

These neat comfy cottages are set in amongst a large rural property with lots of bush granite boulders, a farm dam, plus bird life and kanagaroos. Very quiet. Feels like a farm stay but in the bush not on a farm. Jacaranda cottage has a great old workers cottage feel with original timber fretwork, timber panelling and also modern kitchen and bathroom. Electric blankets a big hit for those who get cold feet! Everything you need to enjoy your stay is here. Wonderful deck for breakfasts in the morning light, nicely shady for an afternoon drink out in the warm Queensland climate!

Peaceful place to stay

Stayed at Cyprus Ridge Cottages while visiting Stanthorpe for the Apple & Grape festival. Great place to stay, lovely and quiet & still close to everything. Excellent breakfast hamper.

Dog Friendly Dream

Our stay at Cypress Ridge Cottages was fantastic! We stayed in the Cypress Cottage and it was clean, modern and well furnished. The real bonus was the fact it was Dog Friendly and we could take our dog with us! He loved it! The dam on the property is great and you can swim there and take out the free canoes also. There were also Kangaroos on the property around dusk which was lovely to see. The location is great - a short drive into the heart of Stanthorpe, or walking distance to some great wineries in the area. The cottages are very private - we didn't see another soul the entire time we were there. I will definitely be back - perhaps in Winter to take advantage of the lovely fireplace in the cottage!

Would highly recommend staying at cypress ridge, accommodation excellent, breakfast hamper was plentiful and yummy, quiet area , lots of walking tracks, and lots of kangaroos to watch.

Great little spot to get away from it all

We spent 3 fabulous nights here. The cabins are set among the bushland in such a way that you feel like you are miles from anywhere. They are modest but comfortable and have ample cooking facilities if you want to stay in. The Cox family are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. We will certainly visit again.

Bush retreat

A lovely bush retreat with very little interaction with other humans apart from check in. The cottage is self-contained and wonderfully appointed. There was a lovely short bush walk to some spectacular views as well as a dam with canoes.

Secluded get away

We stayed in the studio cabin. It was clean, comfortable and cosy.

Great location - near vineyards and away from the main road. Really good place to stay if you want a true nature experience! (The fold out couch in the one bedroom cottage was a bit unfortable)

Lovely cosy cottages

Great place to relax and unwind. Simple but well maintained individual cottages on a nice property right next to Girraween National Park. Peace and quiet, a warm fire, farm animals and wallabies around, a quirk coffee/op-shop down the road, nothing more to ask! We enjoyed this place under the rain, and it was close enough for us to drive to Girraween National park for some walks when the sun came out.

Home away from home

Loved having full kitchen facilities and an outdoor fire under the stairs. Everything was clean and has a nice country smell, including the bathrooms and kitchen. everything was in good working order, plenty of wood for the indoor fire, Owners were only too happy to help with any requests. Enjoyed the walk on the property as well at the end of the day.

romantic cottage close to wineries

The cottage was very cute and comfortable. Unfortunately the fire oven want working properly due to the air vents not allowing air into the fire, this resulted in a lot of smoke in the room which was unpleasant , it stuck to our clothes and subsequently the car. I would stay again, i would suggest though that the owners check the fireovens.

Lady was polite and friendly but other than pointing out window of car to advise where our cottage was thought maybe opening cottage and showing us around explaining logs fire use etc would have been the norm. Pull out sofa was not suitable for 12 & 9 year old kids to share, luckily it was only one night otherwise we would have checked out early.

Comfortable cottages

My husband and I stayed at cypress ridge for our 20th anniversary. Cottages were very comfortable, clean and hosts Aaron and Carole very helpful and friendly. The property was very well maintained with walking tracks. They have 3 goats and a miniature horse, Kai, who was very friendly. I would recommend Cypress Ridge to friends and family. Perfect place to stay in Ballandean.

Stayed 3 nights during the week and enjoyed every moment we were there! The cottage was cosy, comfortable and quiet, and in an excellent location. Beautiful scenery and close to many excellent wineries (including Symphony Hill, our favourite). The staff at Cypress Ridge did an excellent job of making us feel welcome and check-in/out was a breeze.

Rustic and peaceful

If your looking for a basic bushland getaway this is perfect. Located between Stanthorpe and Giraween with a tavern just down the road. Rustic but very clean and comfy cottage. Bush walking in an amazingly beautiful part of the country followed by wine and cheese on the cottage verandah. Doesn't get much better!

Beautiful private cottage overlooking a lovely dam

Carol and her family looked after us very well. Our cottage was cute and cosy and we were very comfy with everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stroll around the property and relaxing either in front of the fire or on the front porch. Our bed was so comfortable too! The property is really well located so is really quiet and you seem like you're miles from anywhere but are handy to nearby wineries and the local pub and shop. We would definitely recommend Cypress Ridge as a great place to escape.

Cottage or a chalet!

We stayed at Cypress Ridge Cottages on our way to catch a once in 30 year snow event in Qld (of all places for it to snow). Little did we know when we woke up in the morning, that the cottage and all its surrounds were covered in a blanket of white. ❄ We couldn't have asked for a better night away. The cottage was gorgeous and welcoming. The log fire was perfect. The kangaroos were massive. The pub down the bottom of the road was fantastic. It really was a night and day to remember. We will be back.
