Amazing property with friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable. We tried to extend our stay because it was so nice. Definitely staying here on our next trip. 2bed 2bath with a full kitchen.

The property is very clean and we really enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and the availability of beach supplies (towels, chairs, umbrellas, etc..) however what really threw me off was the fact that the property was not as described. I booked a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment and I ended up getting a 1 bedroom (and another room with a twin bed and no closet, which according to my dictionary that doesn’t count as a second bedroom) and we got a 1 and half bathroom (only one shower was available). The property management claimed that Expedia only allows 1 or 2 bathroom listings! This didn’t make any sense to me as such a thing could easily be called out in the property description or part of the multiple messages that the property sent to me before my check in. Another thing to watch out for, is that the property charges multiple fees on top of your base Expedia fee (parking and resort fees). I stayed in another Avalon in St. Pete’s that was a lot better.

Room 602 air conditioner extremely noisy. It wakes you up at midnight. After all everything was perfect.

Pay attention to what’s included and what’s prohib

The website makes it seem like there are amenities that are actually “nearby”. The apartment “can’t call it a room, it’s a full on apartment) was great except for the water pressure in the shower and the ac not cool enough at night. The hotel itself is lacking. A vending machine, urn coffee with flavored creamers and a “bar” (felt bad for the bartender) are the amenities. Not sure what the resort fee is for unless you’re staying long term and need chairs and such for the beach. And they don’t tell you the restrictions until the day after you can cancel. Just know it’s no smoking in the whole property whether it’s cigs, vapes or legal medically necessary “other stuff”. And there’s no amenities ON PROPERTY. I just feel like it’s a lot of hype with little return. Could have spent the same money to stay somewhere with actual amenities on site

So perfect in every way!

Absolutely heavenly!!! So close to the beach which was a pleasant walk, the room spotless clean and fresh!! Loved the soaps to the beds! Comfort and class! We were scared because of other reviews but it is so not true! I loved it and will return here for our next trip to Clearwater!!!

The people there were all so polite and engaging. Fernando is fantastic! They are there to help you in any way possible. They get my highest recommendation!

Good stay, would do it again!

Great location right off the beach! Very clean….. not enough bath towels in a deluxe sweet for a family of 7, so at check in immediately ask for additional towels! We were on the 3rd floor “Ocean view” room 309 and it has an obstructed view. Didn’t enjoy having to look at a roof before seeing the ocean. Previous reviews stated to request the 6th floor, but I’m not sure how to do that since they are individually rented by owners. Chairs and umbrellas are free and available for you to carry and bring back. They aren’t already set up on the beach for guest to enjoy, so you have to do a little work while on vacation. Overall it was a great stay , just a few issues I wasn’t happy about!

The room was just like in the pictures. The building was nice and clean with quick access to the beach (just across the street). The staff was very kind and attentive. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lack of information for the employer in the desk where you do check in

The property itself was immaculate and up to date. Restaurants and shops were in a walking distance. We were disappointed with our “view” off our balcony, where we usually spend a lot of time. There are some buildings that are literally within 20 feet from the building/balcony that block the view and any breeze. Need to be at least on the 6th floor, if you are in the rooms facing Mandalay Avenue and want to use your balcony. We were on the 4th floor. They also need to check their beach umbrellas and chairs. We carried chairs and umbrella out to the beach and one of the chairs was broken, as well as the umbrella. This is a nice, clean, safe place to stay with a lovely staff. Would stay there again, in a heartbeat, but would get an ocean front room/with balcony and bring my own beach chairs/umbrella.

Beautiful & spacious property!

The property was beautiful, new, and clean. The young girl Cassie at check in was so nice and helpful. The bartender at the pool bar was named Julie and she was the nicest to our whole family. We will be back, the beach was very private and easy to enjoy.

Perfect spot

Stayed in one of the three bedrooms which was very nice. Great kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room. Towel service everyday and towels available for the beach. Also available were chairs and umbrellas for the VERY convenient beach that was right out the back. Beach toys for playtime were available and free to use. Restaurants close by. We walked, even though it was hot to the restaurants and shopping areas. Would use them again if we were in the area.

The hotel was clean and maintained and the staff was super helpful. Any question we had was promptly answered and they even communicated over text messages (which is easier for me). The pool is a bit small but the beach is so close that it's not a big deal. And they provide free beach chairs and an umbrella so it's actually better than the pool in almost every way. Highly recommended and we'll probably come back next year!

Fantastic stay

This property is a hidden gem. We were traveling with our adult daughter. Having the separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was very nice. We had plenty of room to stretch out and relax. We were walking distance to food and fun. The pricing was reasonable.

Overall clean and current furnishings, beautiful location. Great to have an 3 bedroom in an hotel! Only disappointment was that the cleaning service was only 5+ day stays. That wasn’t communicated at check in and wasn’t stated on the in room services form that was displayed.

Nice place out of the norm.

Though there is a parking fee it’s not clear before booking and Google shows the hotel to have free parking. However the place is nice, clean and spacious. Walk to the pier is about 15 min walk. Lots near by.

The property was really nice. It was across the street a park that the up-keeping was not that great.

First time at Avalon Club & we love it. Karen, the asst manager, took care of checking us in early & was so pleasant & professional. Our room was perfect. We stayed in the 1-bedroom & it was amazing. Great views, a full kitchen, washer & dryer, 1.5 baths, and spotless. The best part is the parking (it’s $35 but so worth it). We walked directly out to the beach from the hotel. The pool is on the 5th floor & small so we were down on the beach the entire time. Hope to stay here again when visiting the area.

Property was in a nice location. I would say the evening person at the front desk was very annoying. He complained about my kids clapping coming off the elevator called me twice with the same complaint. He tried to make it seem as if they was jumping on the elevator funny thing is 2 happen to be young adults and the other is 14. I guess he’s just a crab.

The property was newer and the lobby was clean. Our suite was lovely- especially the floor to ceiling sliding doors that offer a lovely view and sunlight! Plenty of chairs, umbrellas and kid toys to bring to the beach, was also a pleasant surprise.

This is my 2nd time at The Avalon, it has not disappointed. We rented the 3 bedroom grand suite. It’s an amazing suite with an ocean front view. The staff is amazing. We will be back again!!!!

I did not care for the check in comments made to us. They asked if we were hiding a pet in two small carry on bags we were traveling with. It seems accusatory versus simply asking us if we were traveling with a pet.

This small, quite, friendly and clean boutique hotel is an amazing gem located on the north side of Clearwater Beach. You will find warm and welcoming staff, easy parking, a convenient location and access to plenty of new and comfy Tommy Bahama beach chairs, beach umbrellas and boggie boards. We loved the large and roomy suites at Avalon and were even able to get into our 3 bedroom gulf front suite early by 12 noon, a wonderful suprise. Plus we were able to obtain an extra parking pass for our party. The beach is steps away and lovely, no where near as crowded as you will find at the larger resorts on the south end. We have stayed at nearly all the larger resorts on the beach and have now found our favorite location at The Avalon Club. We will be repeat patrons for years to come!!

We were very happy with the accommodations. It was very comfortable and we had a nice of the water. We were able to walk to dinner and shopping safely.

Overall everything was great. At check in it would have been helpful to know about the trash and cleaning services. The amenities of the beach chairs, umbrellas and toys was awesome! There is no snack bar outside of the bar hours but the bar hours are limited. Could certainly benefit with more options here. Maintenance was friendly and went above and beyond with providing ice while our freezer made ice. Unexpected gesture and was awesome.

The Avalon was absolutely perfect! The staff was friendly and helpful. Its located just steps from the beach and a short walk to restaurants and shops. Parking was easy. We definately will be returning!

Cassie at the front desk made our stay very enjoyable. She was welcoming, professional and helped us switching rooms because we made an error when booking.

The property was immaculate. Our suite had everything we needed. A couple of minor issues were addressed immediately by staff. The staff were also attentive and incredibly friendly. Would definitely book there again.

A Five Star Experience!

Our stay was nothing short of fantastic. The reviews that we researched were accurate and our experience was wonderful. First, the property and our one bedroom suite was immaculate, second, the staff was extremely service oriented and supported us with any need. When the in unit washer had a problem, as a solution they offered to launder our clothes and dry them and they did! That was above and beyond. They say true customer service is how you handle it when things go wrong. They handled this perfectly! We WILL be back! The proximity to the beach was perfect and the long stretches for walking and shelling fantastic. Thank you whomever is responsible for the superior cleaning staff and “service first” employees. In an age where those things are often lacking, this experience will stay with me. Thank you!

Amazing hotel!

Hotel is well kept and on the quiet end of the beach. They offer beach chairs and umbrellas which is great because the vendors that rent them close early in October. Just be prepared to carry them across the beach. Room was lovely but the ocean view in the 2bdr (on the third floor) left much to be desired. The balcony is right next to the top of a utility pole and the view is tarnished by the pole and wires. I recommend asking which room you will be assigned because they refused to change the room and told us the room a customer receives is based on the site they used to book it through.

Excellent Beach Location

Excellent apartment in excellent location for beach, eats or boat trips.

The staff were beyond amazing. We were here for our wedding and the hotel staff went above and beyond for us and our friends and family. They were very helpful and always happy to see everyone. I will always recommend someone to stay here. It’s right on the beach, easy parking, close to restaurants, not very busy, and very welcoming.

This place is absolutely beautiful! Has a condo feel. Most of all the staff has exceptional customer service. Cassie was always warm, smiling and sweet!! EVERYONE says hello, super efficient in anything we need. It is rare to get such great service. And thisbis why we'll keep coming back!

Traumhafter Aufenthalt im Avalon Club

The Avalon Club ist eine tolle neue Anlage. Unser Apartment war einfach ein Traum, schön, geräumig, sauber, hochwertige Ausstattung, bequeme Betten, besser geht nicht! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten 5 Nächte gebucht und haben jeden einzelnen Tag genossen! Man ist gleich am wunderschönen Sandstrand und der Pier 60 ist in ca. 15 Minuten fußläufig erreichbar. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

We were a family of 7. 2 adult's, 3 teens and grandparents. We had a 3 bedroom suite on the 6th floor. Lovely and spacious suite with beautiful views of the bay. Absolutely stunning sunrises that could be seen from my room and balcony. Fully equipped kitchen. The hotel was brighr and clean. The staff were exceptional. They were very polite and helpful. The hotel is set on the beach. The hotel allows you to borrow chairs, parasols and swim equipment for the beach for free. There is a complimentary tea and coffee service on the 2nd floor. There is a gas station 3 min walk away where you can buy the essentials. We would definitely return. My only improvements would be that Avalon should allow for late checkouts. There is also a daily parking charge and resort fee that you need to be aware of when booking.

Great little getaway.

The Avalon Club was a great place to stay. Dog friendly and just a short walk to the part of beach that allows dogs. Staff was friendly and helpful. Even let us check in a lil early after unit was ready. Very clean and equipped with everything you need just like being at home. Food and shopping was also close by. Will definitely be back.

Couples getaway!!!

Awesome location and a great room more like a condo actually wish we would have booked it for longer.

I stayed here for my bachelorette party, and it was fantastic! Right from the get-go, we were greeted by the best staff, fun and sweet energy! We stayed in a suite, and we were all very happy with the rooms, views, kitchen, and pool! We found it extremely walkable for the beach obviously and even the walk to restaurants and shopping wasn't bad at all! I will be staying here again and would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the Clearwater area!
