Princess Palm on the Beach

Great location, lovely views, apartment is a little tired but a great stay.

It was exzellent. Perfect foresight for all possibly needed materials. Nice light rooms, marvelous balcony with sight on the beach and the wages. Short distance to the “Dune Cafe “.

Unacceptable condition for the price.

The condition of the property was horrible, and unacceptable to be honest. Yes it wasn’t the most expensive accommodation on the Gold Coast but it certainly wasn’t cheap by any stretch of the imagination, the place smelled really bad, the fridge was dirty and sticky, towels had yellow stains, glasses had lipstick on them, the seats were dirty, carpet filthy, dirt and old sweets were under the beds, and worst but not least… the bed was filthy, when we lifted the sheets up there was black marks, urine marks — it was horrible. One of the sliding doors also kept falling off runners, and the main balcony doors had a gap and never shut, the whistling from the wind was crazy. We actually complained on night and wanted to leave, we got a phone call the next day but no offer of that. They said they’d send housekeeping up, I don’t think they did. We want to complain but I can’t seem to find a way to speak to Hotels.com about this. Social media may be our only way. But in summary, this stay was not acceptable when paying good money and is really recommend avoiding, and I’d love to speak to somebody!

Loved the ocean view and apartment just on the beach. Currimbin wildlife sanctuary about 2 bus stops away. Loved the warm spa Was looking for rest and relaxation and wasn't disappointed. Staff were lovely and friendly.

Great views, quiet and comfortable!

Great location

Location was perfect. Everything we wanted within walking distance. Pool was small by okay. Only negative was the single beds had no blankets on them. We had to use the ones in the cupboard. When I got the first one down I was bitten by something. So I used beach towels as blankets instead. Reception staff was very friendly and helpful.

Lovely Ocean views, Great Car parking and close to Lifts. Nice pool / spa and Sauna. Staff very friendly.

Great for a family getaway.

The hotel itself is undergoing renovations but our room was fantastic. The location of the hotel and access to the beach was the most enjoyable aspect for my two primary aged children. The beach was very safe for kids and calmer waters are also easily accessible. Hotel car park can be a bit tight in a big car but manageable. A lot of food options, cafes, posh bakery and supermarket all within an easy walk. We would definitely stay here again.

Best view ever! Lots of space in unit, well layer out and had everything we needed. Renovations happening on lower floors so game room was out and there were some bare walls and open ceilings but it didn’t bother us. Wish we’d been able to stay longer.

Amazing location right on the beach, cafes, restaurants, supermarket all walking distance. Would of liked to be advised at time of booking that there are renovations instead of a couple of weeks before arrival.

What a let down apartment 1D is of a 2 star rating. Grubby, old, broken and dangerous are just some of the words to describe this unit we stayed in.

Amazing views from the apartment. The two bedroom apartment was comfortable and clean, it has everything you need and more. I have been to this property numerous times and will definitely be back. It’s walking distance to cafes, shops and restaurants as well

The property itself is great, the unit we had could do with updating as furniture needs repair and brought into the current century. But we did appreciate the venue and enjoy our stay

Perfect location for families. Beach, calm water lagoon, park with playground and fabulous cafe right by the property. Units are spacious and have a full kitchen. Shops just down the road. Once you park the car, there’s no need to drive anywhere.

Perfect place to stay, beach front and access to walking tracks in both directions.Unit was very well equipped with everything you would need during your stay. A minor issue was a sticky substance on the deck which I think was spilled drinks not cleaned up. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

Princess Palms

Great views of the beach looking back towards Surfers Paradise. Family friendly location with easy walking access to Palm Beach and Currumbin Creek

Would never stay again. We paid a premium price for a sub standard room. The views were great and that's about it. The room hasn't been maintained nor renovated since the 80s, it was in a poor state, wasn't air conditioned and all the windows rattled most of the time with the wind. Bathrooms had mould and were in poor condition as well. We left a day early as we just couldn't cope with the window rattling noise any longer as we got no sleep. Never again.

Princess Palm has 300 degrees of uninterrupted views of the beach, ocean, and the mountains. We were on the 10th floor and the views were wonderful. The location is at the southern end of Palm Beach and borders on the Currumbin Creek away from the surf beach. Great for families.

The view is wonderful. It soon became very clear that this unit was very tired and had not been kept up to standard. Evidence of dirt everywhere and little if any sweeping had happened. Just the bare minimum of everything.

Property is tired, our apartment was not clean in this covid world I would have expected more, old furniture and broken tapware.

Rough and dirty- beware!

The building is well situated on the beach, with great views and a really nice pool and spa. The room, however, was dirty with greasy countertops and cupboard handles, hair in kitchen and bathroom drawers, and dirty carpets. The sliding glass door to the balcony could hardly move and could not be opened by my wife and kids. The laundry room shower door had broken glass and would not slide on its track. The shower head in the other bathroom would not stay up and it was hard to take a shower. The unit has not been updated since it was built 30 years ago. We were provided one small bar of soap for four people for three nights. Really? We had to go to Coles to buy a pack of bar soap. We were expecting unpretentious comfort with this stay, not a rough camper cabin. I do not recommend this place to anyone!

Great location with amazing views, will be back again

Room was perfectly positioned for what we wanted. Room was tired but clean. It could have had some more and newer crockery and some microwave bowls and a cover would be helpful. Staff at reception were excellent. Pool and common areas have been refurbished beautifully. Will stay there again.

Facilities and position were great. Great view, no roads to cross to get to the beach.

The location is great, the apartment was very average, out dated 70s style, for what we paid for our stay expected more.

Comfortable beach getaway.

Large apartment with spectacular view on right on beachfront. Overall a good stay with comfortable beds and adequately equipped. Some maintenance required such as living room fan did not turn off, shower head in ensuite not working correctly and main bedroom balcony door rattled lots in high winds.

Classic charm, and with exceptional personal warmth. From the check-in this was an awesome stay. The ocean and beach views from our room were spectacular, as we're the pool and hot tub. Everything was clean and everyone there was polite and friendly.

Location was fantastic! Beachfront, and close to shops. Apartment was very clean, organised and kitchen well equipped. Beds were very comfortable. The only thing that could be improved was the amount of washing detergents and linens. I stayed for 5 nights, and would have liked a change of towels and more washing detergents provided for that length of stay. Other than that, everything was great :)

Our room had the most beautiful view of the ocean. The two bedroom apartment we had was very spacious with a washing machine and dryer. A little older style but very comfortable .

Relaxing Haven

Excellent location right on the beach. Pool was spotless and staff lovely.

Perfect location overlooking beach with beautiful views from lounge/ dining/ kitchen area as well as main bedroom. Also close to Currumbin Creek and Parklands/ boardwalk. Go to sleep to the soothing sounds of waves lapping the beach. Take a lovely walk on beach or along the creek, then soak in the hot spa. Simply wonderful.

Magnificent

Wonder spot and spectacular views just totally awesome. The only thing that took away from the overall experience was the hard bed. Other than that could not fault. Would definitely use again

Really great view, pool was wonderful. Room was pretty well presented, however was a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of the floor - I had to sweep within 5mins of us arriving. I was advised by reception that this was probably due to the high turnover of units that weekend. Despite this, everything else with the room was pretty good - apart from a broken blind, which I fixed as best I could

Brilliant location, peaceful with everything close by. We had a shabby unit 10C which really needs updating.

Really enjoyed staying at Princess Palm.... the only thing that I'd have to comment on is the size of the pool. It was quiet small for the complex size. When there were a few kids in, there wasn't much room for an adult to relax.

Golden beach view

Very well appointed room overlooking beach and an easy 2 min walk to the water - could not asked for more! Decor a little dated and cleaning not quite 100% but the facilities and proximity to our friends (who live next door) was perfect for us..

Great location and view. Facilities were good. Pool was excellent. Another roll of toilet paper would have been nice - had to buy one as only a small roll provided and no spare. Otherwise loved it!

Great location, access to beach and surrounding activities, and amenities were neat and tidy. Perfect for a small family. Apartment, and more especially the balcony area and furniture needs a good clean however.

This was a lovely unit on 5th floor. Quality and comfortable furnishings. Excellent ocean view. We could even do some whale spotting from the balcony.

Unit with a view

The view from our room was amazing. The unit was comfortable with everything we needed. Fortunately we brought our own tea bags and milk as the milk supplied was all out of date and there were only two tea bags. Also only soap was provided and no other toiletries although again we had brought our own. Overall we enjoyed our two nights and especially the great views.

Amazing location and wonderfully warm reception. The receptionist saw that we were from far away and moved us to a higher floor so we could enjoy the view. And we did!

Weekend away..........down from Sunshine Coast

Comfortable apartment but trying to fix things over the time there that were not working properly such as no working remotes for main TV; curtains difficult to open/close; light bulbs not working. Glass table tops being almost invisible were a big concern as you could easily knock into them. Missing soap holder in shower recess rather annoying.

Bang on the Ocean

Incredible position right on the surf and views up/down the coastline for kms. Great facilities ( tennis court; mini golf; spa;sauna;pool etc). Building is 36 years old and showing some wear but acceptable.

Location to the beach

We stayed for a week to attend a friends wedding, when we arrived to check the staff was easy to deal with and very friendly, when we arrived in our unit we were blown away by the views and the condition of the unit. Staying at Palm Beach was perfect there was lots of great food and the beach was just beautiful, I will be staying there again and would highly recommend this accommodation to everybody. the price was great too.

Nice hotel, but no WiFi

Wonderful location, beautiful views, nice layout. Rooms need updating however and was disappointed that there was no Wifi.

We stayed over Xmas to be near our son in Palm Beach. Spacious and a bit dated but comfortable. Fabulous outlook from the hills of the hinterland & back out to sea. So easy to get to the beach & coffee at the reserve cafe. Well run, clean & friendly. No wi-fi - but being connected we were told. A great holiday experience for out family if all ages.

The Best View but Very Ordinary Building

Our room 13E was in very ordinary condition. No A/C and doesn't receive TV channels 9 & 10 and their digital cousins. Reception knew of TV problem, but didn't advise us before occupation. Kitchen was dirty, mattress protector had unknown stains! Beds were comfortable and room is quite spacious. Great views, but let down by the quality of our room (13E). Would recommend this resort as long as room air conditioned and TV working properly.

Great location and modern room but I was surprised to find that there was no air conditioning which made it uncomfortable during the hot and humid days.

Had a few problems in our room . Recliner chairs missing screws .dryer didnt work.and a leaking toilet that leaked water all over the floor in main bsthroom that stunk of urine the whole time . Very discussing complained to reception staff . And they knew it was happenening but nothing got done to fix it before or while we were there.. i think we should if got a discount as they knew it was leaking before we checked in . Was not happy !

The best place I have stayed in ages, great view, Michelle and Gemma on reception brilliant, I can hardly wait to come back again.

Nice comfortable apartment with amazing views. Maybe a little tired in places but overall, very well equipped, very clean and we would definitely stay there again. Fairley quiet location but shops within a 10 minute walk, great beach and creek just round the corner, maybe not for you if you are not a dog lover as it's a dog friendly beach on the creek

Spacious apartment overlooking beach, ocean

Very pleasing accommodation; a substantial unit with great views and full home-like facilities including dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Found TV more difficult to operate: remote controls were not always responsive. The resort pool was very good while the hot tub was quite hot. A well maintained resort.

Good location for the beach

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had a spacious and comfortable two bedroom room with kitchen and en-suite bathroom. There is secure undercover parking with easy access from the highway. Shops are a short walk away.

Will definitely be back

I stayed 4 nights in 14E, a newly renovated apartment with incredible views along the beach towards Surfers. I only have good things to say about Princess Palm. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The location is amazing. The apartment is well appointed. The complex has a pool, spa and tennis court. Directly outside the gate is an outdoor exercise park and of course, the beach. There’s no need for a car - lots to do in walking distance, bus stop right outside and Uber’s arrive in next to no time. Short walk (10mins) to the supermarket and about 20mins to the mall for more shops including Kmart. Head out the pool gate and to the right for a walk along the boardwalk around the wetlands. The Currumbin wildlife sanctuary is a 20 min walk away. Have stayed on the Gold Coast before (at Tugun) but this is my new favourite. I’ll definitely be back. One suggestion - could there be some kind of foodbank deposit box for international travelers to put unused/unopened packets of food into when leaving? Can’t take it with us but seems wasteful throwing it out.

Apartment in a great location close to the beach, pool and spa were fantastic. Rooms are comfortable although slightly older in design. Lack of cleaning products only let down. Had to purchase for 1 week stay

Great family vacation in fantastic location.

We stayed for 4 nights with the kids and had a lovely time. The accommodation was great, staff friendly, hotel facilities in good well-cared for condition and location was perfect. We'll definitely be back. Would be great if it was more wheelchair friendly, but can't have everything.
