Nice place but poor value and location

We thought this apartment hotel was clean and cute, but unfortunately in a not very useful location downtown. Cheaper and easier to stay on one of haifa's beautiful beaches in a bed and breakfast or vacation rental. Moreover, value for money was just not there: this should be half the price! What we paid was rip-off for what we got.

Comfortable and clean.

Nice stay overall. It’s the second time we chose these apartments for the price & value. Unfortunately, for some reason we didn’t get our room done this time either (same happened on our first stay, last month) and during the early morning we had some really noisy neighbors that prevented us from having a good sleep. Leaving that aside, it’s a good place to stay. Easy fast check in / out, comfortable and clean.

Plein centre de ville

There is nothing about “Designed” about this property, is just a ran down building converted in small rooms. No elevators and hallway are extremely hot. Room does not have any closed or any furniture to put clothes on. No soap, Kleenex, coffee, only the bare minimum.

Ok for a short stay

Apartment was in a proper condition. It would be good if it had a closet though. Also, for some reason (never explained) our room wasn’t made after the first night. We stayed there for three nights.

Nice space, dated. Not comfortable, because you need to turn on water heater 30 min before go to shower. But perfect location, space and very nice owner compensate that issue. all transportation super close.Will stay again and recommend to my friend

It is a very nice little apartment hotel in a neighbourhood that really comes to life after sundown, lots of restaurants with outside seating etc. However, there is a huge street outside which is very loud and also pretty dangerous for pedestrians (we saw cars running red lights at HIGH speeds multiple times). The neighborhood is very nice, however it is also apparently not super duper safe (AFAIK its not crime that should affect tourists, though). It's within walking distance of the train station, german village, bahai gardens, all the important sights. I enjoyed my stay there, but sleep was not great (because of the loud street).

Mosheh the Manager was very helpful and so kind. He responded to all our questions and explained everything in details. The place was very clean. The location was very convenient.

O estúdio era impecável com tudo necessário para preparar um bom café da manhã, um ar-condicionado funcinando perfeitamente, cama confortável, boas toalhas. A única coisa que poderia melhorar é a mobilidade do chuveiro, pois da forma que é fixo dificulta um pouco na hora de lavar o cabelo, pois a direção da água vai direto pra porta. A localização é ótima bem próxima da estação central de trem e com muiras opções de transportes a volta. Super recomendo.

Cute apartment - like having your own place in Haifa. Easy, sensible place with good street activity right outside your door.

Very good experience overall. Room is updated ,clean . Property manager has provided all info and help to make this stay safe and enjoyable. Will recommend this property and will stay here again.

Friendly reception and the place was nicely equipped. We happened to stay during a Thursday night concert nearby, and the noise from that as well as the 7AM street cleaners did not make for a good night. But that is clearly not the hotel's fault. Important to note that the hotel doesn't have its own parking but there is overnight free parking nearby.

If you hate sofabeds...

We had a lovely stay. When i travel with my kids, its hard to find a double plus twin bed, usually the choices hete are a queen and sofabed, my kids are too big and they complain. So it was very nice tge room had a doubke and a twin and still enough room for a kitchenette etc. At a very reasonable price and perfect location.

Good value for the money. Near the Port & Haifa’s nightlife district.

Good, but Could be massively improved...

On the whole a positive stay. The apartment was clean and comfortable. However I must say that the reason we chose an apartment over a hotel stay was because we wanted to cater for ourselves. The cooking facilities/amenities within the apartment we were allocated were suitable for making a snack but were not suitable to cook a full meal. Additionally some other things were lacking, for example there was an iron but no ironing board and In terms of cooking facilities there was no oven or even a hob only a single plug in portable hot plate. There was no toaster and the utensils supplied were limited and basic. and did not live up to my realistic expectations.

nice apartment at prime location

the location is good, walking distance from the train station, metro, German Colony district, and the tram stop to the inter city bus station is also within 2 mins walk. staffs are responsive to our questions, and very helpful. but two out of the three ceiling lamps out of order. it will be perfect if they are fixed!

Very clean, very nice service, parking not so good

Lovely place. The owner went out of his way to make our stay pleasant. He even gave us a short walking tour of the neighborhood after we checked in.

Good rooms! recommended place, ask for a back room

It is a good and recommended place to stay in Haifa. Just important to know: some of the rooms are Some rooms face the busy street and the bar that is downstairs. Although the owner has double glazed windows, it is advisable to request a back room rather than a street front room.

Excellent- couldn’t have been better

The location is great. Lots of outdoor cafes right outside the door. There can be some noise in the evening from the cafes, but it's not bad.

Personale molto gentile, appartamento bello pulito e funzionale. Molto vicino al centro con locali a pochi minuti.

The property is good value for money in a vibrant area of Haifa Downtown. Sound proofing from the outside is excellent but you do get internal noise from other rooms particularly where children are playing. Overall we enjoyed our stay and slept soundly.

Eine Unterkunft zum Schlafen...

Informationen zum Parken waren hilfreich und Einchecken war unkompliziert. Es war sehr verschmutzt, Staub und eine 2 Wochen alte Quittung auf dem Kühlschrank. Im Bad war der blanke Putz auf der Fensterbank. Der Ausblick zum Hinterhof verfallen , sehr vermüllt und von Tauben bewohnt! Das Gesamtatmosphäre fehlte zum Wohlfühlen.

Located steps away from the Carmelit and Metronit transportation, the area of the hotel enjoys a lively nightlife. My spacious room was very quiet, however, furnished with a refrigerator that worked great (many more expensive hotels have terrible refrigerators). My contact, Katrina, was a pleasure to work with.

Great location. but smelly

The location is great! It was very loud outside, so we kept the windows closed. The only thing that was TERRIBLE is the smell in this specific apartment. It's not the first time we're staying in this chain and love the location and convenience every time, but this apartment has an awful smoke smell. Apparently some guests were smoking in this apartment, and now everything stinks - even the pillows! They've put a very heavy aromatizer trying to hide the smell, but it only made things worse. Quite disappointed with this specific stay

The property was a little difficult to find. No parking available. It’s a 10 minutes walk from the closest parking lot. At night it is almost impossible to find a parking spot. The room was clean. At night there are bars open but the windows are soundproof. No amenities. Bring your own shampoo and toothpaste. Room service cleaning is every other day. My biggest problem was that the room was very stuffy. I couldn’t open the windows at night because the bar was right underneath us and very loud. I would recommend this hotel if you just need a place to crash for 1 night. However, if you are looking for a longer stay u will not feel very comfortable here. Too stuffy and parking is very difficult to find.

Haifa en soit presente peu d intérêt néanmoins 1926 Apt. est bien situé 5mn de la gare (et tres pres du métro pour Mont Carmel) ce qui permet de visiter aisément Acre/Akko ou Cesarea par les trains très fréquents.

Clean, comfortable and safe

We enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with modern amenities. The price was extremely reasonable. This is not exactly a hotel so we only interacted with staff for check in and out but they were nice and helpful. The room was cleaned during the day. Close to bus stops.

Very nice, friendly and helpful receipist. Place are wide, clean and has a balcony. Sound proofing equipment is good.

If you are looking for a real Israel experience this is the place! Exciting and interesting area, great public transportion, fantasic and warm service, comfortable bed and spacious rooms.

The apartment is located in a good area with access to nightlight. Despite the multitude of bars in the area, it was quiet. The hosts were responsive by text message and email. It was basic and yet it was clean and comfortable. In addition, it was a nice touch to receive the apartment with a large bottle of water in the fridge, a small milk, and a couple of muffins and sweets. It’s exactly what someone needs when they are staying somewhere for a short time. There was also coffee and tea available.

good hotel in downtown Haifa

this is a good hotel for the traveler without exceeding demands. the rooms and bathrooms are clean, the kitchenette sufficient to prepare a breakfast. the Location is in the middle of downtown Haifa, in a small side street, which is almost deserted during the day but full of People at night, when the Restaurants put up tables in the streets which are then closed to traffic. the only downside is the Major road which roars with traffic day and night. The double Windows block the noise efficiently though. Overall, very good value for a reasonable Price.

the room was clean small bath room, did not know you had to turn on the hot water for the bath half an hour in advance to take showers so cold showers for us.where not told we can not access the vicinity of the hotel with car so we had to park 1/4 of a mile in street parking and carry suit cases to the hotel. hotel located in center of old Haifa and all the streets are closed to car traffic.

The manager was very helpful, he kept the process of checking in and out very simple. The accommodation was large, furnished well, the kitchen was ideal for our needs as we were able to prepare all meals for our 10 day stay. The location is superb as we were able to take the Carmelite (subway) to the Baha'i site each day of our Pilgrimage. Grocery stores, bakeries, ATM and all other needs are close by. The train station is less than 10 minutes walk which is perfect.

Beautiful hotel. Really appreciated the cleanliness and the snacks!

The room was as expected ... rather large with plenty of space for 3 adults!! Reception was friendly and helpful in the leadup to our arrival. The apartments are located within a really cool trendy area ... lots of restaurants and bars!! On that note, the catch is that the apartments are located near a bar. Luckily one runs the AC all night so we didn’t hear much in the way of noise.

we picked the location because there are a lot of Christian churches in the area.... the flea market was a total waste of time unless you enjoy looking at garbage..... my wife enjoyed the Thai restaurant nearby and the shopping mall on Ben Gurion Ave....

Right in the heart of Haifa! Walking distance to may key areas. Local streets get closed to cars at 6pm and a nightlife emerges! Restaruants / Bars right there! But not loud or disturbing.

They saved our butts! This was a last minute reservation because we couldn't get access to the rooms that we had reserved several months in advance. We were made to feel welcome and special. It will be 'my place' any time I am in Haifa from now on. The neighborhood is lovely and convenient. Parking is only a minor issue. If you can't find a place on the street there is a reasonably priced lot just a few short blocks away. Enjoy.

Looks can be deceiving

This hotel doesn't look like much on the outside, but it was beautiful. The rooms are really spacious and clean. There are a kitchenette and a dining table and even an elevator. Rooms are comfortable and service was great, Not so easy to park but a great location walking distance to many restaurants and shopping and so much more.

Wonderful little hotel near the port

I really liked this hotel. It was right near the port and the fish restaurants near by were wonderful and not expensive. The folks in charge were helpful and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other people. Thanks to all the staff for their caring attitude. A++

Good appartment in downtown

Zentral, praktisch, gut und nett geführt

Wir waren im März 2018 für drei Nächte in Haifa in den 1926 Designed Apartments. Das Appartement hatte alles, was man braucht, gutes Bett, ausreichend Platz, praktische Küche mit dem Nötigsten, Tisch und zwei Stühle. Alles war nicht mehr ganz neu, aber gut gepflegt, was in Israel nicht immer der Fall zu sein scheint. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden. Die Lage ist unten im Hafenbereich sehr zentral, Bus-Bahnhof und Bahnhof für den Zug nach Akko sind gut zu erreichen. (English: Convenient and well-operated apartment in the lower part of Hafia. Not new, but clean and in good shape, good value for the price).

Superbe Hôtel sur Haïfa

Hôtel simple, propre, avec un minimum pour se restaurer et cuisiner. Le patron est ultra arrangeant et très sympathique. Il est très bien placé, à moins de 10 minute à pied de la gare principale d'Haïfa. Proche du centre de la ville, du marché aux fruits, de la station sharout pour Tel Aviv. J'y retournerai volontiers.

1926 Apartments

Unbelievable. Moshe met us down the street and helped us with our luggage. We loved our room. It was large and airy and in a great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If we return to Haifa this is where we will stay.

Die Apartments sind sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Der Inhaber ist sehr freundlich und hilft gerne mit vielen Tipps für Haifa und Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Man kann alles gut zu Fuß erreichen, es gibt gratis Parkplätze in der Nähe. Viele Frühstücksmöglichkeiten und Restaurants. Da es direkt in der Ausgehmeile liegt, kann es abends etwas laut werden, aber die Fenster sind doppelt isoliert- uns hat es nicht gestört. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und können es weiterempfehlen!

Hotel muito bem localizado. Quartos e áreas comuns muito limpos. Pessoal extremamente atencioso. O hotel não possui recepção 24h. Como chegamos num shabbat (dia não útil na cidade), deixaram a chave na porta do prédio, com todas as indicações de acesso, de forma que não tivemos nenhuma dificuldade na chegada. Tudo correu como esperado.

Downtown Funky Boutique Hotel not to be Missed.

This is a great, eclectic place that's smack dab in the perfect area downtown. At night it's festive, but not crazy, so it's a good place to be unless you like to be totally secluded. We were "upgraded" to a triple room ad it was great! Modern design, full kitchen (sans oven/with hotplate) and spacious room. They had a lot of cool design elements, free wifi, and Moshe, the owner or manager is SO kind and helpful. We really liked him and he was very insightful. We were brought to the room and there was a small plate of treats. This is a boutique hotel so you should know that there's few amenities really; no gym, no room service, toiletries offered besides soap/towels, they clean the rooms every THREE days, the shower was small, there were a few items that were older (most were new/clean but the shower needed recaulking and the sofa was older). Nice sheets/bedding. Adjustable A/C and heat. BEAUTIFUL balcony overlooking a charming square. There's a bar downstairs which is loud but the rooms are soundproofed so we had no trouble with noise. The balcony has fresh mint and herbs for your tea and they provide and seating for two - gorgeous! Restaurants, shopping and coffee shops everywhere. Some rooms have elevators, ours did but check if you need it. We loved this hotel, just keep in mind it's not a generic, fully-appointed Hilton; it's a boutique, eclectic place that is uber-charming, centrally located, nicely appointed with what you need and I'd recommend it highly!

This hotel was very convenient to restaurants, train, buses, etc. Given the late night activity, the owners had installed double windows which sufficiently reduced street noise. The only drawback for some is that there was no elevator. In sum, we were very happy with the accomodations and would return.

Nice room but some issues with amenities

The room was nice, but there were no shampoo, conditioner, Kleenex. Also, you might not able to get enough hot water.

Nice, homey apartment at very good location.

I really enjoyed our brief stay at 1926 design apartments. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short due to Rosh Hashanah, but we would have gladly stayed. The apartments are well located and have everything you may need.

Excellent value and quality

Do not dispair as you drive toward this hotel. The port area of Haifa can be off putting and driving into the downtown area you would be forgiven for thinking you've made a big mistake. But one street back from the main road and your in a beautiful part of Israel that is safe friendly and vibrant. The cafe/bar scene starts around 7pm and goes well into the following morning. 1926 appartments are right in the middle of things but don't worry the rooms are sound proofed for the early to bed. Room was clean, staff fantastic and the price was a steel, a great place to stay.

The staff was very helpful and the hotel was located in a very lively area! I would stay here again.

Very Homey

This place is very clean, spacious and the bed sheets are super soft! When we arrived, there were delicious treats on the table- nice touch! it was much needed after a very long drive.

Nice hotel for those looking for urban experience

Hotel in downtown area of Haifa near port. It is a developing area with cafes and pubs and it is a combination of old world with the new world. Less polished than the German colony area only 10 min walk from there. Train station is 5 min if you need one. For Israeli citizens be aware - I am tired of this game with Booking and Expedia. They know where we are connecting from and still put in smallest letters the tax part which makes the price 17% higher. Why not to put in large font for Israeli citizens that they have to pay the tax ? They know to show me hotel when I am nearby of a neighbourhood I was interested so show me also the fact the price does not include tax.

The old city of Haifa

We booked the hotel knowing that it was in the old part of Haifa, at the bottom of the mountain. By staying there we got to see how the locals live, although as we were on a Baha'I pilgrimage with a very intense programme we had little time to interact with local people. What we did find out is that in the evenings the street became an open air restaurant, closed off to traffic. In some areas tables set with white tablecloths were ranged across the whole street, set with cutlery etc as one would expect in a high end restaurant, and the locals embraced the atmosphere. There was often live entertainment with a high stage so that everyone could see the performers. As we were on the second floor, we had no problems with the noise from the street. We tended to use the taxis for transport, but if you do, insist that the meter is put on, and ask for a receipt, as some of the drivers will ask an outrageous price for a short distance, .Driving is on the right side of the road, and all the streets seem to be one way, so you are back tracking in order to get to where you want to go. There are lots of traffic lights too, and there seem to be not too many rules of the road, drivers are impatient and I have never heard so many car horns,. Take as much of your favourite food as you can, fresh food is hard to find, some foods are very expensive, others not too bad. The top of the mountain seems to be more modern and more affluent judging by the businesses we saw as we were being driven.
