schlechter Checkin mit Downgrade ohne Kompensation

Beim Checkin war das gebuchte Zimmer nicht verfügbar. Stattdessen wurden wir mit einem Upgrade vertröstet, dass sich wie ein Downgrade anfühlte. Die Cabin war zwar größer, hatte aber keine Veranda mit Sicht auf die Berge und die Kängurus. Außerdem lag sie direkt an der Straße und unter Bäumen, was bei Regen zu dauernden Tropfgeräuschen auf dem Dach führte. Außerdem mussten wir während des Aufenthalts in die ursprünglich gebuchte Cabin umziehen. Als Kompensation wurde eine Flasche Wein am letzten Tag ins Zimmer gestellt. Ich empfand das Verhalten als unverschämt, da das Fehlverhalten des Managements komplett auf mich als Kunden verlagert wurde. Da hilft es auch nichts, dass die Unterkunft sehr gut liegt und sehr schön eingerichtet ist. Eine Flasche Wein kompemsiert den Schaden nicht, insbsondere wenn man keinen Wein mag.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, clean, quiet and the surroundings were great. So many different animals around. Deluxe chalet was amazing. We will be back.

Excellent private little cabins with everything you could need. A lot bigger than expected, photos don’t do it justice. Central central to everything you could want and need to explore the Grampians. We’ll definitely be back.

Comfortable and spacious

Nice accommodation. Spacious, clean and well maintained. Chalet was warm and very comfortable. Covered parking and close to various dining options. Would definitely be happy to stay again.

Unfortunately it was just a quick over nighter this time, but will be back to explore the Grampians! Huge room, great kitchen, great shower pressure, easy parking.

We can't say enough good things about these chalets. We probably rented what many consider the least desirable of these buildings (right next to the road) and we liked it so much that we booked two additional nights. Quiet, clean, well furnished and very comfortable. Also, a lovely easy walk to town.

Chalets are spacious and very cozy.

Wunderbare Unterkunft. Tier direkt vor der Nase!

Eine wirklich perfekte Unterkunft. Wir hatten Haus Nummer 7 (direkt am kleinen) See. Wer Tiere (Vogelwelt, Kängeruhs) beobachten will, ist hier genau richtig. Top Empfehlung. Es war top sauber, alles modern gestaltet, geräumig, mit Kochmöglichkeit. Die Lage ist auch gut. Zum nächsten Restaurant kann man auch ohne Probleme laufen. Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gefallen! Wir wären gerne länger geblieben. Einfach TOP!!

Sauber, freundlich, ausgezeichnet

Nettes und hilfsbereites Management. Sehr gepflegt. Der Innenraum unseres kleinen Chalets war praktisch neu. Sauber. Zweckmäßig. Einziger Mangel: Das Queen Size Bett wäre uns ohne die Rollen lieber denn diese lassen das ganze Bett doch recht wackeln wenn einer sich umdreht.

The Chalets ticked all the boxes! There was nothing not to love about this place.It is comfortable, clean, and great location with easy walking access to the shops. Our chalet looked over the pond, so you could just sit back, relax and watch as the wildlife past by. Kangaroos, deer, and plenty of bird life. The little family of ducks with their ducklings was the cutest. Highly recommend, and cannot wait to stay there again.

Peter was excellent with advice and directions. Short walk to town but units really a genuine home from home. Would go back anytime.

Amazing place, very cozy and it has everything you need!

Fantastic stay, property is well located and maintained and a perfect base to explore all the area has to offer. The owner was lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. Highly recommend.

Mini Getaway

A mini escape from Ballarat. A lovely comfortable and unusual cottage - wood lined and limed with lovely subtle lighting and a great outlook onto the ornamental lake. Comfortable king sized bed.

Great unique property with good views and amenities. Super clean cabins with amazing wildlife. Make sure to book the deluxe cabin if it's available. The owner Peter goes out of his way to make your visit special, thanks Peter.

The Chalets are beautiful, well kept and comfortable. However, we came across a problem with our booking, and was disappointed with the customer service we received from manager.

Lovely one bedroom Halls Gap accommodation

Right near the centre of town this accommodation was easy to find and perfect for two people. Would stay again! Only thing that would be good is an air conditioner in the bedroom as well but still had a great time.

Fantastic stay. Managers were lovely and the cabin was cute and cosy with everything we needed. The BBQ area was fully stocked with all the sauces and spreads you could need and the spa was small but relaxing.

Great week away

Peter is a perfect host and makes you fell right a home from the get go. Great Location, walk to restaurants, good coffee and information centre. Outdoor BBQ area is undercover and fully stocked with the necessary condiments. You just bring along what you wish to cook. The Chalets property is full of locals. Kangaroos, birds, ducks I mean.

A Retreat for the weary

This was in a quieter area of Hall’s Gap. The view of the mountains changed colour with the sunlight. The planting of natives secluded each unit. The ground coffee was appreciated mid morning. The advice of Peter for an evening meal gave us a chance to experience the best Northern Indian cuisine. As always Hall’s Gap is a treasure and so was the accommodation.

Fantastic

It was the second time staying at this amazing cabin and everything from the check in process to the location was fantastic. The room was a perfect fit for a solo traveller or a couple. The spa and comfy bed are the highlights and of course the view of The Grampians mountain range is amazing. Place is usually booked well in advance, so get in early

Loved having our own spacious, private chalet. The kitchen and BBQ facilities were excellent and extremely well equipped with everything one might need. The grounds were lovely and full of wildlife to watch from the deck. Easy walking path to town.

Not only is it the cutest yurt shaped cabin, but we had a view out over a pond and surrounding fields. We were visited by deer, kangaroos, ducks (with their ducklings), blue wrens and all other birds. Whilst three other cabins were scattered around the same area, they were positioned so you didn't see each other. We felt like we had total privacy and the place all too ourselves, even though it was totally booked out. Peter, the Owner, showed us into our cabin. He talked us through the local walks and amenities and ensured we knew how everything worked in our cabin. Very friendly and helpful. We had a perfectly relaxing time.

A delightful find

We had a lovely, comfortable and quiet stay at the Grampians Chalets. It was clean, very well fitted out with everything we needed with a lovely rural aspect and we loved the cosey fire.

The property was tastefully furnished and impeccably kept. Can’t think of any negatives.

Home away from Home!

Loved our first stay in the Chalets. Peter and his manager, Michelle were fantastic hosts to deal with, ensuring we were comfortable and giving us all the information we needed. Talk about service, this is "self contained" & we stayed for 4 nights but still had towels changed after 2 days and our bins emptied, which was wonderful!! For self caters, like us, this place was heaven! Great facilities, extremely clean and with more condiments etc provided than we could ever dream of! The short walk into town meant the location was perfect. We'll definitely return!

Gem in Halls Gap

Lovely spot to stay in Halls Gap; clean, well appointed cabins close to everything with friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend.

Fabulous retreat!

We were not expecting such a lovely, well equipped, tranquil stay. It was wonderful! Close to all facilities, restaurants, cafes, icecreamery, supermarket. Easy access to the sights. Great kitchen with all necessities. Kangaroo, ducks, kookaburra at the door. Beautiful! Highly recommended!

Good location, clean and spacious chalet

Sehr schöne Holzhäuschen mit viel Natur. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut. Von Klimaanlage bis Heizung ist alles vorhanden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Fantastic place. We were followed to our chalet by the owner who made sure everything was alright. It was cold outside and the heat was turned on before we arrived.

Very Enjoyable Weekend

The cabins are very well appointed with a fireplace, spa and kitchen. We had a view of the pond with wildlife at the door. Kangaroos and emus were grazing right outside the deck. The owner was an excellent host. Made us feel very welcome. Great bottle of wine with the cabin. Will stay here again.

Peace and Tranquillity.

Time of arrival at reception, we had a very warm welcome from Peter. He was just great, very helpful. The Chalets were immaculate, everything you needed was there, a very well equiped kitchen. The weather wasn't the best but thankfully there was great heating! Nice and cosy!

Cosy cabin with comfy bed

Loved our stay at Grampians Chalet! The kitchen is good for cooking, entire cabin really warm thanks to the great heating, bed comfortable & toilet also very spacious. Location is great, a stone's throw from all the main shops, and the owner was welcoming. Definitely a great place for couples / 4 pax :)

Welcoming and Quaint Retreat

My parents and I enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay in late March. We appreciated the well appointed and thoughtful accommodation. Peter is a wonderful host and ensured we were looked after. The Grampians Chalets are a hidden gem in Halls Gap, which we cannot recommend enough. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Perfect city escape

You will be welcomed by Grampian Chalets friendly and informative owner Peter. If you can get in early choose one of the delux chalets well off the road. There is a bbq onsite and the chalets have a good kitchen. We ate out in Halls Gap and Dunkeld and were surprised by the great food on offer. The two bedroom and spa was perfect for a three night getaway with my parents. The Grampians and the accommodation was so great we stayed a fourth night to ensure we were well rested before returning to our busy city lives. Thanks again Peter for your great hospitality.

A Great Grampians Location

Right from the time we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by the hosts. The chalet, which was fully equipped for every need was spacious with high quality furnishings. Each chalet having a large decking area surrounded by trees means you have a private outdoor area which is really relaxing. The complex is within easy walking distance to the town centre and the start of some of the walking tracks. I would recommend this venue to anyone.

Tolle Unterkunft mit Känguruhs im Garten

Die Challets sind sehr schön, sauber und gross. Bis zur Stadt sind es nur wenige Minuten. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Schade, dass wir nach zwei Nächten schon wieder abreisen mussten.

A terrific stay in the Grampians

We arrived in extremely hot weather however our host provided us with a warm and friendly welcome. Our apartment chalet as air-conditioned, clean and spacious. The wildlife was just the best, birds galore, kangaroos on our doorstep and even deer. A great base to explore this region, just wonderful. Thanks Peter and Kay

Le chalet que nous avions etait très confortable . En face une pièce d'eau dans laquelle vient s'abreuver canards et kangourous. Pierre le propriétaire est un type très sympa qui nous a accueilli avec une bonne bouteille de vin dû coins

Amazing stay

This was my flat visit to Halls Gap! The chalets were lovely- comfy, clean and in a great location. We arrived early expecting to leave our bags but our room was already waiting for us, which was great. Everything you needed was there and the BBQ cooking facilities were amazing!! A jacuzzi bath which was great! The people went out of their way to help us and just to chat to us which was such a welcome! Thank you for making my first visit a great one! Highly recommend!

Cosy chalet close to town centre

Had a wonderful stay at the chalet. Good size kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Nice and cosy with the heaters on which is great for a quiet night in after hiking all day. Our dishwasher wasn't working but other than that everything else was great. The accommodation looks a lot better in person than the pictures we saw on the internet. The hosts are very friendly too and a great help

Simplistic and relaxing beauty with a homely touch

My partner and i stayed for 2 nights. The accommodation was as good as all the reviews i'd read. We were welcomed, shown around and given a lovely bottle of red. The owner was down-to-earth, very welcoming, and made us feel very well looked after. The rooms had great heating, a beautiful spa and were very quiet and relaxing.

Really nice cosy and tidy chalet! Kitchen well equipped! Staff was great. Very close to town. Walking distance to restaurants 10-15min. We had a lovely stay. It would be good if there was tv in bedroom otherwise fantastic!!
