Grand Mercure Allegra Hervey Bay

Place was great to stay at, receptionists were helpful and friendly. They went the extra mile for us. It was our anniversary and had two young kids, they setup a cot for us and provided us with complimentary champagne. Great restaurants within walking distance. Their pool is to die for, very large, warm and clean you can swim without getting cold. The place is also very clean and maintained. The only improvement I would suggest is their showers whilst not dirty definitely require a deep scrub/clean, visible mold and yellowing tiles which makes it feel a bit gross. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to Hervey Bay

Friendly staff and well presented and maintained rooms.

The staff were lovely. The property was very child friendly. The facilities were great. We had a spa room which we loved. The 2 bed is spacious. We will be returning for a longer stay!

Modern, well-appointed apartment in good location

Friendly, welcoming staff. Nice spacious, comfortable, well-appointed apartment just a short stroll from a lovely patisserie, Indian and Italian restaurants. A couple of kilometres walk along the Esplanade to Reefworld and Urangan Pier. On the pick up route for whale watching tours.

Our apartment wasn’t clean and we had cockroaches in it.

Very nice clean gym

We really enjoyed our stay. We checked in after-hours but the process was easy, so was the next day in the reception area and the staff were really friendly. We were surprised at just how big the rooms were and the layout was perfect for us, we were in a 2 bedroom. Kids loved the pool and the added bonus that the pool is heated. We also enjoyed the number of cafes/restaurants in walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!

Heated pool was very nice and apartment was good. Furniture felt a little old when sitting on lounge for instance but overall the rest was fine. Wardrobe in bedrooms werent cleaned with hair and dust around spare pillows. Overall it was still a good experience.

Quiet and relaxing stay

Had a great stay. The accommodation and facilities are great. The location is also great right ln the beach with great cafes and restaurants next door

Never again

Paid a large amount for 4 nights in a 2br apartment and expected there to be sufficient supplies for 5 days. But no...they wanted to charge us $3 for a towel when I asked for a clean one on day 3. They do not clean the room at all, or provide any sort of service. They did not leave enough supplies in room to last the 5 days, and when I went to reception to ask for toilet paper at 2pm, there was no one there. There was a number to call if reception is unattended - no one answered. They then expect you to clean the apartment before you leave, and whilst we were rushing around trying to clean the place before check out, they had the audacity to call us at 10:30am to harass us to check out. This place needs to provide proper supplies and service if they want to charge the amount they do. Not happy.

Nice, quiet and spacious apartment close to the beach. The pool was just the right temperature and we felt very safe.

Great stay right across from the peaceful Hervey Bay. The pool is beautiful and heated to the perfect temperature. Apartment was clean with plenty of space. Staff was very friendly.

The bed was the worst bed I have ever slept on, it was way too soft. The apartment was nice and big, it had 2 toilets, 1 of them didn’t work. You couldn’t turn on the fan in the bedroom because of the amount of dust on the blades and the bedroom vents also had a lot of dust on them. The property was comfortable with a beautiful pool and easy access to the beach. Overall the property was ok.

Nice Hotel, just across the street from the beach. Restaurants, and cafes nearby. Close enough to things, but far enough away to feel as though you are escaping from the majority of the world. Pool is huge and gym and sauna are well equipped as well. Rooms are clean and spacious with all the modern conveniences. Reception is efficient and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

A regrettable stay

Small but numerous issues that compounded into a somewhat unpleasant stay. All dishes were filthy (intent of the stay in a apartment room was to be able to cook but that was immediately out of the question), the bathtub surface was peeling and chipped and unusable (part of the reason for booking the room was to use the bathtub), the handle for the shower mixer was broken off, the shower floor was dirty, an air conditioning inspection had been scheduled during our stay and the final insult was room service bursting into the room un announced in the morning. The staff were all lovely and understanding, the above issues were all mentioned to staff.

Very plesant stay, close to the beach and everything. The court yard spa was good. Generous sized apartments and well equiped. Children had a good holiday.

Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, perfect in every way. Very spacious, clean, comfortable and the hotel reception were extremely warm and welcoming. They upgraded us to a spa suite whilst it was off season which absolutely made our trip special. Can’t wait to stay there again next year in April!

Large residential unit, complete with everything our family needed for our week long stay. Excellent pool. Walk to variety of restaurants. Across the road for beach walks. Would definitely recommend.

Great place to stay for a short relaxing holiday

We came for my husbands work. I spent a lot of time in the pool and relaxing on our patio reading. We decided to pay more and book the swim up 2 bedroom apartment. I’m so glad we did, as it was everything we needed and more. It provided quick, easy and private access to the pool and had heaps of outdoor space to relax in. The location of the hotel was perfect for a beach walk to the shops and restaurants too. It was quiet at night and the pool was clean and well maintained. We found all the staff we came across very helpful and welcoming. They went out of their way to make our stay a good one! We would definitely stay again when we are up that way and will recommend a stay to anyone! Especially if they book the swim up room! Thank you all 😀

Perfektes Hotel um in Hervey Bay am Strand

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in Hervey Bay im Grand Mercure Allegra sehr genossen! Das Appartement war sehr geräumig und hatte alles, was wir für unseren Aufenthalt benötigt haben. Die Küche war sehr groß und wir haben hier gerne das Essen zubereitet, das wir auf dem Balkon mit Blick auf das Meer eingenommen haben. Die gesamte Einrichtung ist sehr wertig und sauber. Auch der schöne Pool hat uns sehr gefallen!

Swim out unit is highly recommended. Pool is great, nice warm temperature. Beach across the road is quite nice. Hosts were lovely. Pleasant beachside walk to shops 5 mins away. The local RSL has great kid facilities and weeknight specials

Apartments were very well equipped and staff very helpful. Heated pool was enormous and well maintained and enjoyed by all in our group of 4. Only complaint would be there is no BBQ onsite (bit of a pity because we could have used it every day). Unfortunately we only found out about the 5th floor communal area/patio on our last night. It was a great area - we’ll set up with seating and gives a stunning sunset view. Highly recommend this property!

The Car Park entrance was dicey with traffic coming up and down a single lane curved driveway. The room was clean and tidy and well set out for a break . Convenient location on the esplanade with the beach on your door step.

Great rooftop balcony, one of the best I’ve stayed at but…. The owner removed the jacuzzi which would have been the icing on the cake. Beautiful decor, fresh and clean but I would choose to stay in another hotel if it had a rooftop spa.

We loved this hotel. We were well looked after and loved all the amenities, especially the huge, warm, gorgeous pool. Across the road from a great beach, lovely area. Will be back!

Modern, Spacious, Spa was perfect, value for money

Our family loved our stay at the Allegra Grand Mercure Hervey Bar. The modern and coastal decor was beautiful and the room was exceptionally clean. Our kids loved the warm heated pool (29 degrees!) and we enjoyed having our own spa. We enjoyed using the hotel gym and daily walks along the water front, particularly the gorgeous sunsets. Thank you to the kind and helpful managers. We will definitely be back, thank you.

The apartment was perfect. Lots of room for our family of 4, and the apartment has everything you could possibly need to make you feel at home. Internet was flawless, heated pool allowed us to enjoy a swim even on bad weather days. Check in and check out were smooth. We will definitely be staying again if we return to Hervey Bay.

The Allegra in Herevey Bay has generous sized rooms and amenities including an excellent swimming pool and gym facility. Our hosts were very helpful and we felt "at home" right from the start - highly recommended!

The staff were very helpful & friendly. The apartment was spacious, clean and very well equipped. The heated pool was fantastic, very clean and private with comfortable pool furniture. There is a good selection of restaurants within easy walking distance. The property was perfect for our much needed quiet break. We will definitely stay there again.

Excellent customer service and wonderful apartment

We love Hervey Bay and this was our best trip yet! The hotel was clean & the 2 bedroom spacious. The pool is amazing and loved the phone call we received, to let us know our room was ready just before check in time. The local restaurants are great! The Bear is a must do and it’s right outside the hotel. Being across the road from the beach, we loved our mornings of picking up a local coffee from FX of Coffee (again right near the hotel) then sitting by the beach to enjoy. A perfect way to start the day. Do yourself a favour and stay here!

Fabulous resort, beautifully maintained. Lovely 30o heated swimming pool. Stayed in a refurbished 2 bed apartment. Request a referb room and you wont be disappointed. Will definitely return here the next time we are in Hervey Bay.

Stunning swimming pool and location. Spacious, clean and well equipped 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with filtered ocean views, overlooking the pool. Beach is just across the road. Loved our 6 nights stay very much.

Quality of swimming pool. They use mineral water and the water is so soft that we can open eyes in the water and that does not hurt.

Disappointed in the maintenance aspects. Main bedroom slider wouldn’t close, rail shower slid but a bit kept popping out, loo paper holder hanging, dishwasher missing wheels on lower rack and range hood light not working and could do with a clean, 2nd bedroom lamp not working. Add some nuisance neighbour guests and it was a bit disappointing. Management team need to lift their game.

Loved the swimming pool… didn’t like the fact that the ducted aircon wasn’t working inside the master bedroom. Loved the big lcd latest tele with all the features and the free wifi.

We stayed in the 2 BR pool access room and it was amazing !! The apartment was massive, spa bath in bathroom was huge. We could not fault this apartment

The apartments are well appointed, spacious and well maintained with 2 bathrooms, one with a washer/dryer and laundry basin and main bathroom had a spa bath and 2 vanities. This was in addition to the spa in the courtyard. Conveniently located right on The Esplanade across from the beach and a short stroll to Torquay shops and restaurants. Highly recommend this property.

Great location and great apartment

The apartment was very spacious, clean and in great condition. Really felt at home there. The pool also was wonderful in that it was inviting and warm. Another positive was the location on the esplanade with a number of really good restaurants practically on your doorstep.

Cannot fault the property, location, room sizes bigger than average, and very clean. The only let down was the wifi signal was very poor if you needed constant internet access. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice and central, but disapointed in the pictures giving the impression that the view is of the sea, but very few apartments can see the sea. Instead back street houses.

Shelly beach I loved so only place to stay was Allegria, Staff very warm & nothing was too hard pleasure to stay here. The resort & the apartment were immaculately clean. How sensible at last a heated pool 👏👏

Great apartment

Fabulous apartment with a huge terrace.

Potential to be a great place to stay. The bed was awful (sunk in the middle), carpets were putrid and im pretty sure thre were mites as both the wife and i got bitten most nights. WIFI whilst free, has poor connectivity

We would recommend this place to anyone that just wanted to relax and enjoy a weekend away. The apartment was very warm and inviting and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Where it is located it was walking distance to several shops and eateries and a beautiful view of the ocean.

Large 2 bedroom apartment. Heated swimming pool Restaurant adjacent. 3km walk to the beach house pub and many shops, restaurant's etc along the way.

Michelle at Reception was very friendly and helpful. Our 2 bedroom apartment was huge and beyond our expectations. The Black Bear restaurant next door is a must, and coffee shops close by. Beautiful heated pool too. We loved our stay here.
