Muy amplio departamento, estuvimos de viaje familiar con nuestras hijas y tuvimos suficiente espacio para todos. Lo unico es que no sabíamos que no había aire acondicionado en la propiedad, solo hay abanicos de techo, pero abriendo las ventanas estuvo muy agusto la temperatura durante las noches.

Excelente experiencia

Excelente estadía en Sand of Kahana. Muy buena ubicacion. Está ubicado sobre la playa y a 10 min de Lahaina. Las suites son muy comodas, amplias y completas. Dispones de todo lo necesario para pasar días maravillosos. Volvería a hospedarme sin ninguna duda.

Rooms are very spacious and have great view.

You can see they tried to remodel and didn’t quite finish the job. The staff is super friendly though. Towels look and feel old. Pond with frogs houses mosquitos. Pool is nothing big just awesome that it’s heated.

This is a great place for a quiet get away. The beach being right out side was a great extension to the property. The staff were exceptionally helpful with any inquiries that we had and helping us book outside excursions. Definitely a place we will go back to one day very soon.

Nice 3 nights stay, very close to the beach. convenient store nearby also short drive for more selection of snacks. Condo is clean, and nicely decorated, full kitchen access but we didn’t use much, we’re mostly outdoors exploring anyways. We liked the pool and beach access are just opposite. Many beaches connected to Sands of Kahana beach shore. Some renovations going on but not bothersome. Washer and dryer in the unit is a plus.! Would have stayed longer but needed to explore the south side of Maui island.

Roach Hotel!!! Roaches in the kitchen and bathroom. Crawled into my toiletry bag. Made sure to pack carefully didn’t want to bring them home with us. Yuck!!

Need an a/c unit!!!!

The Manager was the only thing that was acceptable and appreciated, we where promised a ocean view room, the only way to see the ocean was got outside to the balcony and looking out to see the ocean, the biggest problem and the worst, COCKROACHES, the room we where given was infested with them, I’m talking around 15 or so within the hour, this was gross and disgusting, Please please be aware, the staff are rude and unprofessional, I can’t believe this place is open for business, there is no AC, the bathrooms don’t have actual doors that lock, But from being from a Island I can’t handle that but a infestation of Giant Roaches no way, the manager was professional enough to agree for a full refund, even though i still don’t have the money yet in my account I got confirmation, we checked out the same night and made reservations elsewhere, the Sands stated the roaches where normal and there is nothing they can do, I’m sorry I have never stayed somewhere where there was a infestation. Please be aware, this place does not have even deserve 1 star. I am surprised the DOH, hasn’t done anything yet about this.

AC’s in the room would have been appreciated other than that the stay was wonderful.

Need to be more clean alot of cockroaches in the kitchen

The property is great, I disliked that they have agents who try to upsell you for time shares!! Run away!!

I enjoyed the stay and the fact that the kitchen was fully equipped and I enjoyed the activities like pickleball etc. The rooms were beautiful and had a great view and liked having a kind of sectioned-off portion to the beach so it didn't feel crazy crowded. The only thing that kind of bothered us was the fact that there was no A/C-only fans. Once we opened the windows/doors and cut on the fans the heat wasn't as bad. Overall a beautiful place and would stay again.

Our family enjoyed our stay at sands of Kahana. I was pleasantly surprised that our room was equipped with all the necessities. I would highly recommend staying here. Staff were courteous and friendly.

Very friendly staff members and very beautiful property

One word, RAT, we stayed here and woke up on our first morning to a RAT on the kitchen counter (and not a small one) this sucker was at least a foot in length-it flew across the counter towards my daughter and dived under our dishwasher. The service at that time was terrible- no one did anything for at least two to three hours until management arrived at 8/8:30…also no air conditioning- I was so stressed for my children as rats carry siseasss and worried the entire trip. They covered some of our grocery costs and a sands to come here with our family and to find a rat was truly stressful and disgusting I feel like more could’ve and should’ve been done to help us feel comfortable. meal at the restaurant, in all honesty we spent thou

The room has cockroaches, no AC , room had no lighting, my one year old fell and hit the coffee table and split his head open . The front desk was no help , everyone was in a bad mood . I would not recommend this place for families!

The property is very nice and the beach is nice. Having a restaurant onsite was nice and also other food options are walkable. My only negative was the resort fee that was added upon arrival when I thought it was included in my booking. And it was $97 for just 2 nights!

This property is an average resort but comes with full fledged condo units with everything you may need. The big missing element is the AC. I didn’t know they don’t have AC and literally we all had to struggle days and nights since it’s very hot and humid atmosphere. The property itself is very old and may be individual unit owners might have done some kind of upgrades for some units. We were seeing lizards and small cockroaches in the unit as well. Not sure when was they last time they did pest control for those units. Other than the above short-comes, the property is managed by in house property management which has a front desk available 24x7, in house concierge desk who help book some nice excursions, very attentive and caring staff who listen and address any concerns immediately. They provided floor fans to help us fight the heat a bit and repaired everything we reported daily. But certainly being on vacation we shouldn’t be repairing the vacation home units everyday for one or the other reasons. They sure give you a full service hotel like feel by providing you towels linens or anything you need during your stay. There is no housecleaning but you will have everything you need to keep the unit and kitchen clean. Kitchen was really helpful if you can cook atleast once in a while considering the very less options for food around here. They have a decent size beach which was clean and we all could play without driving to other beaches. They have got in-house restaurant too.

Activities, tree for shade, privacy, could keep windows open all night feeling safe.

The room assigned to us had too many bugs and rouches in all areas which made it a terrible experience for us on first day of a much awaited Maui vacation for us. The management took too much time and could not offer us an equal alternative. We were forced to check out early and I had to book another hotel for rest of the vacation.

Bed bugs bit everyone. Hallway little bit noisy. Rain leaks from by the windows.

Outdated, no housekeeping when asked, and No AC! Very uncomfortable all week.

Wonderful location and service. The apartments are very spacious and well equipped. The property grounds and views are beautiful. I would of rated this property five stars but we kept finding cockroaches everywhere (to be fair we heard that it’s a problem at many hotels in the area)

Very close to beach and clean. Kitchen had everything I needed. Safeway grocery store is about 10 minutes drive. Location is a bit remote to travel and see the other half of the island.

The best place i stayed in maui. Best bang for the buck. Will go back!!!

Overall had a great time with the kids

Friendly hotel staff. Loved having the Beachhouse restaurant and bar be part of the property. Everyone was incredibly hospitable and loved the relaxed vibe!

We did not like the cockroaches in the unit and the early garbage disposal pickup below our unit. The people are friendly, nice pool and hot tubs, clean beaches and lots of lounging chairs and space for all renters and owners.

We enjoyed our stay here. And also for upgraded to an ocean view ;) Needs Air conditioner though, it gets warm. The fans didn't do much and made a lot of noise.

Roaches, roaches, roaches. We stayed for 3 days and found them in the dishwasher, under the sink, in the sink, on the counter top, and worse of all, in the master bedroom. The room itself was very nice, but the roaches made the whole experience horrible. We saw 3 the first night we were there. We were eating and we lost our appetite. Wasted $100 of food. A maintenance person was sent out to spray. The next morning, they sent someone to spray again. I ended up finding 2. I asked for them to move us, but was told they only have mountain view and couldn’t give us the beach view that we had. Kids wanted the beach view. So, we stayed. I was also told the roaches were coming out cause they just sprayed. The next night we found 3 more while we were eating. Lost our appetite again. It was our last night. After we left, my partner told me that he found one on our bed and didn’t tell me cause he didn’t want to upset me anymore. Unless they fix this issue, stay away.

Beautiful Stay!

Super friendly staff. Clean and good amenities. I thought it was going to be hot with no air but fans were great. The view and sound of the ocean was amazing. I’d love to bring my family next time.

Excellent stay for our family of five including one teenager. We enjoyed the beach, the pool, the restaurant, and the paddle board rental. Best part of our stay was the sunset views along with views of the whales!

The property needs some updating, but for the space location, and price point, it’s great. We were a party of 8 adults in the three bedroom and thought the large space and beautiful views well outweighed any cons (some updates needed). The hall closet stocked with extra towels and toiletries as well as the washer and dryer made our stay so much easier. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed as well. Would return!!!!

Our stay here was great! Right on the beach, can see the ocean from our balcony. Great restaurant on site and walking distance. Super easy parking. Kids loved the pools, beach and tennis court. Rooms and furnishings were clean and well maintaied. Highly recommend!

Fantastic stay. The place was much bigger than we thought it was going to be, which was a plus. Came with full amenities. The only down side was - we knew the place didn't have AC - so it did get a little stuffy during the day, but at night it was totally fine.

古い部屋もあり虫が出るとのコメントを見て、殺虫剤を用意していましたが、一切使用することはありませんでした。広い部屋に使いやすいキッチン、調理器具も揃っていました。炊飯器はありません。洗濯機、乾燥機も部屋の中にあり、ばけつに入った粉洗剤にあり、洗濯の心配は何もありません。幼児用プールもありその中に大人が入れる温水ジャグジーもありました。プールサイドのレストランも美味しく、ここでずっと過ごしたいと思いました。次回も必ず利用したいと思います。

I like everything things

Loved the large, spacious 2 room unit overlooking the ocean. Easy beach access made for great snorkeling and gorgeous view. Elevator was a little slow and on site restaurant food could be improved. Overall wonderful stay. Lots of amazing restaurants to drive to near by.

We loved the ocean access and the beach! Rooms were clean. We wish they had air conditioning though! We also wish the Beach House had colder beer at happy hour!

Great stay at the Sands of Kahana. The 3 bedroom condo was more than enough space and had a beautiful view. The property was beach front, had a nice pool, and fun activity courts for pickle ball and tennis. My family had a great time here.

The unit is spacious, and full kitchen helps with a family of five. Issues we did have were resolved immediately, and staff was amazing!

Maui Family Vacay

We stayed here 20 years ago & again this year. We stayed 3 weeks. It’s great having 3 bedrooms. No air conditioning was a bit of a concern, but plenty of fans were provided & we were comfortable. The unit was a bit dated, but well maintained. The unit supplies were ample. The beach furniture could use some updating, but we were still comfortable. The restaurant is good. And we weren’t bothered by staff like some places do. Overall it was a good stay.

It's so good we're going back!

The pictures on Hotels.com do NOT do it justice. Our unit was at least 1000sq.ft with full kitchen, dining, three bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 porches. Ocean view. My family cannot wait to stay here again! I cannot say enough great things about it. The living room was huge and our view was fantastic.

The Sands was wonderful. The problem was the day before we arrived I got an email saying we were moved to another location. The Villa was nice and clean but a corner dark unit. It felt like a bait and switch skeam. There were dogs crying and barking and next to the highway. They did relocate us to the Sands after a few days when I complained (and asked again why our original reservation wasn't honored)

We had 2 units, 1 group of 7 and a group of 6…the units were way bigger than we pictured & had all the amenities you could want! Would highly recommend for families and larger groups! Two bathrooms, laundry in the unit, dishwasher, coffee maker, fridge, blender, toaster, the list goes on

small beach area was nice. Room was big, had everything we needed. A/C would have been nice to avoid little critters in the rooms, but we managed with the fans that were provided. The room was a bit outdated except the kitchen. Nice for families.

Don’t stay at Sands of Kahana/ Needs help

Water in shower / bath smelled of too much chlorine. Water at Beach Club grill tastes of too much chlorine , could not drink it. Lunch , Monte Cristo was absolutely terrible. Our view from our Maui Paradise room was a cement parking lot. Management was non responsive to any of my personal requests. Very disappointed with Sands of Kahana :(

instructed the front desk to contact a manager as I wished to speak to them twice when a random guest was able to open our locked down with the key card. Still waiting to speak to a manager after 3 days. Would NEVER stay here again.

A quick escape from the flooding in California and this property was a spectacular respite

Very basic. Close to the roadway which allows for listening to full throttle pulls by street outlaws in Honda Civics. Beach has a decent amount of chairs and the pool is equivalent to that of a Motel 6. Food in the area is survivable.

Good location and 2 pools plus beach. We did not know that there was NO air conditioning

We enjoyed staying here for the week while on Maui. The property is located on a nice sandy beach with views of Lanai and Molokai. The 2 bedroom 2 bath units are large and comfortable. Beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are outdated but functional. Staff is great.

Good stay but has bed bug. Staff are accommodating.

There were cockroaches inside our room and in the bathroom and we had to make sure our luggages were closed all the time otherwise, there will be cockroaches in your clothes as well!! Also there was no A/C in the room that made our toddlers and baby in the group uncomfortable and had a hard time sleeping because of the warm weather and no A/C to cool them off.

Just like other reviews say there is no air conditioning, and yes the property is older. The property is clean and well maintained. We had a 2 bdrm unit facing the ocean which worked great for our family. No ac wasn’t a problem for us. There is always a nice breeze blowing through. If your expecting new then book elsewhere. We would definitely stay there again.

Very nice staff and great location. Our single bedroom room was not nearly as nice as the two bedroom units our kids with children had.

Sands of Kahana is in a wonderful location, on the beach, Kaanapali, lots of trees & foliage to complement the Hawaii vibe, trade winds kept the weather just perfect. Even though the property is older we really love the old Hawaiian feeling. It’s a great place. Condos are spacious & comfortable.

Off to Maui

We had a relaxing week long vacation. Prices were high on everything but the sand and sun. The hotel was noisy early mornings with supply deliveries and staff. We were able to watch turtles just down from the hotel.

House keeping and front desk takes about 45 minutes to bring your request, and they are short on blankets, it was cold and we asked for 3 blankets, they provided us with one only

Called front desk for some tissue paper coz out they told me that housekeeping will be in @8am and make a note about it. But nobody came it we checked out.

It was nice to be on the beach and close to stores

Great Location, Property Needs Work

Stunning ocean views if you are lucky enough to secure a room facing the ocean. The beach area was quiet compared to bigger resort areas. The rooms are huge and the kitchen is fully equipped. There's potential, but the property shows it's age and needs fresh paint, new carpets, and landscape work. If you are unlucky and get a "mountain view", so sorry. This is facing a parking lot and garbage collection. The traffic noise is terrible and the direction of the windows doesn't allow for any airflow. The room was so hot and stuffy without A/C. I would not consider staying again unless the ocean view was guaranteed.

I would highly recommend this hotel! The staff was friendly and the property was clean. The rooms are great and have everything you could possibly need! We saved a lot of money by having a full kitchen and it was so convenient having a washer and dryer. They have multiple pools including a kiddie pool for toddlers. I also love that the restaurant on the property is poolside. My favorite part though was the beach access. We will definitely be staying there again!
