A good example of extremes.

This is definitely budget accommodation, the unit was not flash and the upkeep to our unit poor, washing machine didn't spin out (leaving clothes very wet) and the door jammed making it difficult to exit (lucky we didn't have to exit in a hurry. However, if these things don't both you then the location is amazing, and there is a good variety of facilities. The staff were very helpful with extending our booking a further night when we had to change plans late at night. My conclusion is the staff and location were great, but the owners have to make the decision to spend a good amount of money on maintenance and refurbishment.

Things I liked: Great facilities. The Jacuzzi was great. Table tennis table and pool tables were great for the kids. Likewise the mini golf was cute. Kangaroos at dusk and dawn. Things that could be improved: Two of the 3 guests complained about the beds. I personally had terrible sleep. You need to clean your own towels. You get one set of towels for the whole stay. We were also told: we would need to get our own toilet paper after the initial 2 rolls. Accommodation internet was unusable. Telstra had poor connection and Optus was unusable at this accommodation as well. The air conditioner appears to give up in the middle of the night and it would be freezing in the morning. BYO bottled water as the tap water was difficult to drink.

Beautiful bush surroundings with kangaroos and native birds to enjoy, lakeside setting and wonderfully quiet!

Great view of the lake, playground, pool, games room and mini golf on site. All a bit dated but the kids loved it. We had a relaxing time and would return. Also not too far from the town of Mansfield

Cabin is basic but has everything we needed and it was clean. Nice pool. Didn’t use the rec room as it closed too early for us, we are out on the lake all day. Wifi would be great, phone service isnt good. Overall a good, cheap stay especially if you have a boat, like water sports.

Property is run down. Definitely needs renovation/updating. Most important would be to replace the AC unit. It is soooo old and doesn't cool the place down at all, especially the bedrooms. When temperatures in the summer regularly hit over 30, this can become unbearable. The beds and linen also need updating. Over priced for what it is.

information on property on wot if did not make it clear we were booked into one of the older units. Accommodation adequate though tired and a little disappointing, had we known better accommodation was available even if a little more expensive we would have chosen this. The property and location was perfect, if we can book better standard of accommodation we would definitely return

Wouldnt recommend to others

Heaters barely worked, ants in the cabin, cracked and stained benchtops, chipped and stained crockery, old tired furniture, some falling to pieces, lumpy very uncomfortable lounge suite, pool and spa area closed one evening with no explaination, unfriendly staff, advised to 'sit in the corner and dont move about' in the 'lap spa', reception area closed early a number of days, games room closed early a few times, horrendous sewage smell around cabin and reception/games area, gym and squash court locked with no one around or info on where to get keys. Very poor lighting at night when walking from communal areas to cabins - dangerous!! Beds were comfortable, playground and spa and pool area lovely. No wifi and no mobile phone coverage, no landline in cabin in case of emergency!!

Suited our needs for a bedrooms, shower, very comfortable. Only sleep the 2 nights. Would like to come back and stay for a holiday. Very roomy unit with everything.

So private and secure. Everything you would ever need to enjoy a getaway. Not too far from town.

The property is good value for money, we had issues with a heater it was seen to straight away. Somethings are dated and need upgrading but for the outdoors / experience it is great. Our kids loved the pitch n putt, the kangaroos and birds are a delight. Mansfield is a 15 minute drive away. Pity with the lake being dried up in lots of places.

For us it was fantastic. Quiet, space, things to do, cook your own meals. If you want to dine out and go to the pub this is a 15 minute drive to town

It is quite comfortable to stay though our house is a bit far away from the lake.

The property is not close to anything. You have to drive everywhere. It is a little old but has everything. The pool was lovely and the facilities are good for families. Right on the lake so good for people who like fishing and boating. We enjoyed our stay.

We loved the openess of the propery. Kids loved everything from the park, mini golf, pool and spa. Loved waking at dusk looking for kangaroos and getting to feed the neighbours horses.

We try to come here at least once a year for the peace an quiet. It is a great place to unwind. My husband fishes off the jetty and I can either go for a walk or read a book

Great cabins, awesome facilities!

Stayed here as we wanted a day on the snow at Mt Buller and although it wasn't super close to the mountain I'm so glad we made the trip! Between the pool, spa, table tennis, putt putt golf, playground, canoes, tennis and the rest, we were never stuck for something to do. The location is picturesque and the grounds are kept in very good order. We missed all the venue organised activities as we weren't there on the right days (IE pizza and movie nights, camp fire gatherings, wine tours, etc) but we entertained ourselves and as I said there's plenty to do. On arrival the kitchen had a trail of ants on the roof but I knew come night time they'd disappear so I just put all food in the fridge and let them go (and they were gone later that day). The balcony had a lot of bird poo on it so we didn't use it but the joy of numerous cockatoos peering through the windows made up for that so it wasn't a big deal. I found the lady at reception not particularly warm or welcoming but met other management/ground staff and they were super lovely. BYO food as its not close to the shops and the resort selection is well priced but obviously not extensive (as its mostly snack food on offer). We will definitely be back with friends as its a wonderful place to make family memories!

Great family orientated place plenty of wildlife

Great value resort with plenty to offer

Got up for a late check in, went rather smooth with plenty of information around to make our way back to our room. Room was a little dated, but it was really good for the price. Used the spa and sauna which were also pretty good. Overall it was more than what I expected for the price and I would return again.

Great little unit

Great little until we stayed in. Had everything we needed. Office hours aren't open at very convenient hours when our main purpose of our trip was going to Mount Buller which meant early mornings and late evenings so we didn't see the office staff at all to check in. The unit was a bit dusty and had ants through it but being in the country this is expected.

We loved our two nights stay, kids loved it, we loved it, and we were sayint to each other we should come back in summer again to the same place.....

The two bedroom cottage was cosy and warm. Great for a family with lovely grounds to explore.

Old fashioned but everything you need.

Great room facilities just really outdated. Bed was hard. But we chose this place for the price point and facilities so great for what you pay! Pool, tennis, squash, bbq areas and to have your own cooking facilities is great.

We had a wonderful time swimming in the pool, lazing around in the spa and looking out over lake eildon. Only a short drive from town, even the cabbies knew where to take us! Lots of birdlife (a bit too friendly for our liking!) And the roos came to say hello too! We were sightly disappointed that there was no shampoo or conditioner supplied, or a hairdryer, and found a spider and cockroach in our room, but I suppose that's country living for you! Overall, we had a wonderful time away, and look forward to coming back to stay soon.

it wasn't good enough to recommend to any one

I thought to stay for 3 days but the room was not good enough so we decided to leave it in 2 days. As the first day we stayed because we have to go to Mt Buller and as we returned the second day, even we were to tired we left the place because we can't stay there. The bed room got many spider web's and was very old room.

Fabulous Place great value for money&lovely staff

We took my nieces to do some snowboarding at mt buller so we chose to stay here. It is wonderful. Beautiful gardens overlooking a lake with kangaroos wandering through the grounds. So much to do here you could just have a holiday only staying in the resort. The swim spa was wonderful and the kids had fun playing in the awesome playground, games room and mini golf. Such great value for money. Thank you for a wonderful time

I have taken the family there many times and we love it except for the dropping water level reducing the boating fun. we shall be back when the water is up again.

A Pleasant Place to Stay

We picked up the keys from the late arrival box, as previously arranged. The heaters were turned so the cabin was warm on arrival. The cabin was well equiped, clean and roomy for a couple. The resort is in a pleasant rural area on the shores of Lake Eildon, 20 minutes drive from Mansfield and an hour from the ski fields of Mount Buller and Mount Stirling.

Affordable and convenient accommodation

We had a two night stay here as we wanted affordable accommodation at the snow. It took about an hour to drive from our accommodation up to the day car park on Mt Buller. Staying here was a way better option than on-mountain accommodation. The apartment was nice, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a short stay. The double bed was comfortable as well which was great. Late check in and early check out were no problems - we arrived around 10pm and the heaters had been left on for us so it was great walking into a toasty apartment.

Great place to stay!!

Very welcoming, nice & clean cabin we stayed in. Lots to do at the resort, close to main st of Mansfield. Would definitely go back there again.

Great value for money

Arrived late, good system for picking up keys. Beware of google maps and apple maps though - they will send you down the wrong side roads. Room was comfortable, warm when we arrived, and had all the facilities we needed. Saw lots of kangaroos on way out. Great value for money

Beautifully scenic -lots of recreational choices

Great place to stay with young and older children with plenty to do and see. Great friendly service from staff. The outlook was breath taking! A little way out of Mansfield but not too far. Loved our stay and will stay again!

Great place to stay for families or groups

Facilities were great, pitty we didn't utilise them as we were staying to visit mt Buller. Didn't see staff as we arrived late and left early every day. Place was not modern but value for money. Would be great for a group of family of friends

Clean and comfortable stay in peaceful surrounds

we stayed at the Mansfeild country resortas we were going to craigs hut by helicopter. we wanted a quiet stay and this resort fit the bill. Our room was warm when we arrived.It was clean and comfortable and also lovely and quiet.

Excellent service

Usually coming to stay in the winter season. Currently the reception is renovating and operating normal at temporary bungalow. Price is very good for family. There was no dvd player but I brought own USB HDD with some videos to watch. Straight plug on TV and worked fine. Ants were on the wall in the bedroom so bring some sprays would be ideal. If toddler and babies do not pee (seemed very yellowish) in the spa, the facilitates are really great.

Great cabin warm when we arrived

When we arrived it was easy as we had a key ready for us and the cabin was heated the next day we used the spa and it was lovely the sauna was closed? Not sure why and besides that we would go back there again it's great value and the kiddies loved it.

Flash back to the 80's

Inadequate heating, No DVD player Spa not working at resort Long way out of town

Resort ok but dated - much wasted potential.

The resort seemed 'frozen in the eighties'! The decor was dated, tired & desperate for refurbishing. Our unit's furniture was 'daggy' & uncomfortable esp. the couch which was ridiculously low. The carpet was old, shabby & badly laid & one toilet roll was supplied for a 3-day stay. The Lodge is potentially a good area, except that it's extremely dark & cavernous with poor, badly designed lighting and it too is crying out to be refurbished. Nice pool area, but unheated, so usage limited to spartans & summer months. Facilities are good, we used the small spa & would have used the larger one (both indoor) had we stayed longer. Sauna was out of order. Spa/sauna area is also dark, dated & needs redecorating. Grounds are extensive, beautifully treed & well located on Eildon Weir, but they & the resort's roads need better grooming. Suggestion: extend the shop area & establish a coffee shop overlooking the weir.

We stayed two nights and it was very comfortable. There were a lot of things for the children to do, we didn't get time to do them all. We needed longer to enjoy all that was available!!

I was in town for work (8am-6pm) so I really enjoyed the spa and lodge being open until 10! I didn't miss out on anything!
