MR was absolutely stunning, tranquil, just perfect. The staff made our stay even more wonderful and looked after our every comfort. Each person mafe our stay very special with such thoughtful care. The bookings of boat trips, transport advice, meals, everything! was seamless!

A most pleasant stay in a family owned property. Everyone was so welcoming and attentive. The property had views of the water, beautiful gardens & hiking trails. A quiet retreat outside the hustle of the city but The convenience of a 10 minute bus ride to downtown Sorrento. Buses ran every 20 minutes. Wish we could have stayed longer!

O café da manhã é bastante caprichado, preparado por um chef. A única coisa que me desagradou um pouco é que precisávamos dar uma volta grande até o estacionamento, e tinha muitas escadas, não é um local acessível

Amazing property in Sorrento

This is an absolute gem of a hotel. From before our stay right through to check out the team could not have done enough. I highly recommend anyone to stay her. A little out of town but on a convenient bus route with plenty of taxis. Stunning hotel!

Beautiful layout, attached to a great restaurant. Only concern: a glass partition in the bathroom area, to separate sink area from room. Made me nervous. Also, being clear did not give any privacy for dressing. Shower, bidet, toilet were separate and had total privacy. Perhaps a nice curtain instead? Glass made me concerned. Lovely place and would return.

Loved this place. Great stay. Highly recommend. Nice and fancy spot. The bed was soft and nice but they do need to use different fitted sheets and mattress pads. The pad felt plasticy and non breathable.

Melrose Relais was very quaint and safe. The rooms are mostly clean minus some mold in the sheet rock near the shower. The only toiletries provided are shower gel and shampoo. No tissue, lotion, and minimal toilet paper. The wifi was choppy. They last night we were there it was out for over 12 hours. Reception isn't available until lunchtime. And the property is not walkable to Sorrento city center. We used the city bus most of the time. If you want a relaxing place that is quiet and has a chill pool this is the place for you.

The room was new and fresh. The people were great, from check in, breakfast, drinks at the pool. Very friendly and welcoming!

Beautiful property

Our visit to Amalfi was amazing and we wanted to add an additional night to our stay. We stumbled onto this property by accident and I’m so glad we did. We were greeted by the cutest manager. She showed us around the property and then we were greeted with a lemon sorbet at the bar. This was a beautiful property! The staff was second to none. I could not be more pleased and I wish we had booked our whole vacation at this property. 10/10!!

Beautiful location with wonderful and very helpful staff

From the host to the chef, everyone was 5 stars! Emelia is a fantastic bartender (who makes amazing cocktails) and Luigi was very professional and friendly server at the Bristo! Can’t recommend MelRose enough. The rooms were amazing and the property was breath taking. Only a 5-8 minute bus ride into Sorrento’s City Centre (bus comes every 20minutes). If we are ever in the Sorrento area again, we will be back!

We loved staying at MelRose Relais! The staff were all so welcoming, genuine and accomodating. When we arrived we were given a tour of the grounds and enjoyed a welcome drink by the pool bar. Rovatiana was so knowledgeable and shared some great recommendations with us. She arranged a scooter rental directly to the hotel which made getting around so easy. She also booked dinner for us at the restaurant. This was an incredible experience! We watched the sunset, had an almost private dining experience and were treated to a delicious meal and excellent wine pairing suggestions. Our waiter was an absolute delight - such a lovely man. We would definitely return to this hotel. Thank you for having us

Helt grei plass

Fint rom men en del edderkopper og mistenker veggdyr på vårt rom da begge har bitt på føtter og hofter. Litt langt unna sentrum men buss går heldigvis innover. Helt middels frokost, ikke forvent noe stort her.

Séjour fantastique !

Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux et très agréable en couple dans la région, et tout particulièrement au MelRose Relais. Tout était absolument parfait. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été charmés par la gentillesse incroyable du personnel et de la direction, qui ont su créer une ambiance familiale et accueillante. Le cadre est idyllique, avec une vue extraordinaire. La chambre est décorée avec goût et la literie est très confortable. Le bar a également été une belle surprise, avec des cocktails délicieux et créatifs proposés par une équipe talentueuse. Une mention spéciale revient au restaurant, où le cuisinier et le serveur ont su nous offrir une expérience culinaire inoubliable. La cuisine est formidable, et le service était tout simplement parfait. Nous ne sommes pas près d’oublier notre séjour chez vous. Un grand merci à toute l’équipe pour ces moments d'exception !

Perfect vacation and great location. A real hidden gem.

Absolutely amazing hotel! Super clean, family friendly, the pool area is beautiful and the food is delicious! Check in was seamless and all the staff, waiter, bartender and property manager were friendly, happy and helpful! Highly recommend!

WOW! What a great boutique hotel in Sorrento, Italy. The owner was so sweet and attentive to details. All the staff especially Luigi was so nice. It’s a lovely place with a great sunset view. There was an onsite Bistro for breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. The location is also easy accessible for public transportation. They will also help and book any tours you may want to experience. GREAT STAY AND WILL BE BACK.

The owner was phenomenal communicating with us on WhatsApp before our arrival after train delays and missing the check-in timeframe. She even told us she would make a reservation at their restaurant onsite to make sure we would have a good meal after a long day. Along with a recommended boat tour (which was AMAZING) and providing to-go breakfast bags for our early checkout we LOVED our short stay and will absolutely stay again if we have the opportunity.

We stayed here and right at arrival the hotel staff made us feel not only welcome, but excited for our stay. They were extremely accompanying and even offered free shuttle service to their partnering restaurants that were delicious. I can not say enough great things about the hospitality here. We loved our stay MelRose! Thank you all so much!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided amazing recommendations for food, shopping, etc. The place was quiet but located near a bus stop and also had private parking. Beautiful views from their dining area!

Great stay just outside of Sorrento

We had a lovely stay at MelRose Relais! The hotel was quiet, the staff very nice and the food at the restaurant delicious. Special shout out to the bartender who made excellent cocktails (although pricy)! The hotel is located outside of Sorrento and is accessed by public bus or by car. Please note walking to Sorrento is not an option as there are no sidewalks and the one street from one town to the other is windy with poor visibility and no lights at night. We had some trouble with the bus the first few days of our stay as there was construction on the road, the bus was only coming by in the morning and evening. Otherwise the bus was quite convenient and cheap. Taxis are an option but expensive (35-45 euros). Overall the hotel was nice and a great deal for the amenities offered but perhaps a little far from everything if you don't have a rental car.

This is not a property, it’s an invitation into the beautiful family at Melrose Relais! I have never been treated so well in my life! We were so well catered towards from the welcome tour to dinners to helping us get around. MelRose is such a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. It was a peaceful, beautiful oasis to come back to each day. The staff is incredibly helpful and welcoming - the dinning crew was exceptional. Perfect distance from Sorrento center and able to access anywhere easily - having a car was very useful.

Great stay at the Melrose Relais, great service from start to finish. Spotless hotel and very welcoming. Restaurant was excellent and staff always very helpful. Looking forward to staying again. I believe only 12 rooms blways felt like we were alone although hotel was full. Bus stop very close by so getting in and out of Sorrento town was very easy.

Great staff. The food and drinks was amazing. Waiters, cook, bartender were knowledgeable, entertaining and professional. We had amazing time definitely one of highlight of Italy trip

Sorrento great hotel

Superb service. Very friendly staff and owner- really made us feel welcomed. Very nice property. The chef and food were excellent with great service. Very clean and decorated with taste. We hope to be back in future trips and recommend this property without hesitation.

We had an absolutely amazing stay here. The host was very communicative and friendly throughout the booking and arrival process. The property was beautiful and the room was perfect for us. When arriving to Italy our flight was hours late and we did not arrive to property until around midnight. Upon arrival we were kindly greeted and taken into the restaurant connected to the property. To our surprise the staff was gladly awaiting our arrival and prepared a fresh and delicious two course meal for us. The hospitality and kindness with which we were met upon arrival and throughout our stay was unprecedented. I would highly suggest staying here and hope to return soon.

The property was beautiful, quiet, and safe. The rooms were in immaculate condition. Property staff communication was excellent. We appreciated the free shuttle service to nearby restaurants which were also amazing. The only criticism was the limited hot water for the shower. Our favorite part of the stay was the restaurant attached to the property. The breakfast was exceptional every morning. What really made it special was the wait staff though. Mimo and Luigi in particular were so kind, attentive, and friendly. This was the first place we stayed on our honeymoon and those two really set the tone for first impressions of the locals. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely recommend this place to others!

We stayed here for three nights and then hotel was very boutique. All the communication was handled via WhatsApp which made things very easy for us to book dinners and stuff

The hotel is nice but staff is not accommodating, my cloth was ruined and I have pictures of the day before and they said well. Some wall moist in the bathroom. Inconveniently far they were fixing the road and you cannt pass between 9 to 5 you are stuck also the bus is almost in front but staff don’t know how late they run. The restaurant staff, chef the food and the bartender and the bar great and excellent manners. I wouldn’t stay because the front desk leaves early and it’s far with very limited wifi and no taxis pass by. Unless you have a car and want to stay far out and loose some morning and return time not great location to take ferry’s and go around amalfi coast

Nous avons passés 5 nuits dans cet hôtel et nous sommes plutôt insatisfait du rapport qualité prix. Les murs des chambres ne sont pas isolés, tu entends quand ton voisin prend sa douche, charge son téléphone... Les terrasses sont juste séparés par 2/3 feuilles donc c'est comme si tu étais sur la même terrasse que tes voisins. Il y a une odeur dans la salle de bain. Nous avons été facturé de 75€ en + pour garer la voiture . Le petit déjeuner c'est du café soluble, du pain de mie en sachet... Le point positif c'est l'accueil adorable de la petite dame de l'accueil, la femme de ménage, le cuisinier et le serveur du matin.

Gentilissimi all’ arrivo, la struttura curata e pulita Non è adatta ad un viaggio con bambini con passeggino, sono presenti molte scale. Colazione minimal, materasso scomodo. Avevamo chiesto una culla pagando un supplemento di 10 euro, purtroppo il materassino era sfondato e abbiamo fatto dormire la bimba nel lettone, l’ abbiamo fatto presente e ci è stato chiesto comunque il saldo del supplemento.

Hôtel charmant et personnel aux petits soins. Cadre superbe. Les cocktails du bar de la piscine sont à tomber. Le chef du restaurant, Francesco, qui connait bien la France, propose une cuisine alliant tradition et inventivité. Très beau séjour.

Habitacion muy espaciosa, y con un baño excelente. Un buen terreno con plantaciones de olivos y limoneros. Excelente lugar de descanso, a 10 minutos del centro de Sorrento. Tanto el check in como el out fueron de manera virtual y funciono perfectamente. Relais altamente recomendable

Lovley property lovley scenery. Location is about 6km from Sorrento. €40 Minimum taxi fare. Hotel policy is to charge €15 to park per night ?. Stayed a week few days proably enough.

Kleines familiäres Hotel, das einen hohen Standard bietet. Schöne zweckmässige Zimmer, modern und sauber gehalten. Auch das gebotene Frühstück überraschte uns mit der vielfältigen Auswahl. Gute Lage um die weitere Gegend zu erforschen, Nahe an Sorrento. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

A wonderful stay!

We could only stay one night but this was a beautiful oasis of a spot. The pool and bar was very nice and quiet. The owner checked us in and suggested a spot for dinner. We were able to walk there. It was exactly what I needed after over 24 hours of travel! We ended the night with wine by the pool sitting on the side with feet in the pool. The breakfast the next morning was also fabulous as well. My only complaint was that I could only stay one night!

It’s a bit far from the port and taxi is ridiculously expensive but there is a bus which stops every twenty minutes right in front of the place and you can go to the city center for less than two euros riding that . My complaints of any are about the fact there is no hot water in the shower. It’s barely Luke warm . We told the manager and nothing really changes although they promised to take care of it . After going around all day in the sun and sweating and dust laden I really wanted a hot shower but that did not happen . Other than that every thing else is good but far from any attractions or restaurants

Our only regret is that we did not book this place for twice as long. It is beautiful and peaceful, and our host, Walter, arranged dinner for us at local restaurants where we had some fabulous fresh fish and octopus. Breakfast was at Melrose and everything we had was homemade and delicious! Everyone at MelRose was friendly and approachable. We would highly recommend!

Property was extremely clean comfortable and scenic. A great relaxing way to unwind for three days after hectic travels from Rome. The location was a great launch pad to Sorrento, Capri and Naples. The staff were so kind, hospitable and ensured our arrangements for ferry’s, and excursion were taken care of. And the breakfast we received was delicious!

I can’t rate Melrose Relais highly enough! My husband and I are just back from a two week break. We stayed in the junior suite which has a private terrace with views over Capri and Vesuvius! Fabulous! Walter and his family were amazing. He booked boat trips to Capri and Amalfi for us and helped us with a bus tour to Pompeii and Vesuvius. All 3 were excellent. The local bus between Massa Lubrense and Sorrento is very easy to use -2 euros each- so we used that for day trips and eating out at night. Breakfast was included and lovely. On the days when we chilled beside the pool we had fantastic lunches from the Bistro and cocktails from the pool bar! Nothing was too much trouble and hopefully it won’t be our last visit!

We had a wonderful stay! If you’re looking for a clean, quiet, easy to access stay that’s close to the heart of the main downtown do not hesitate. The grounds are stunning and the staff was amazing and helpful. Wish we could stay longer!

A tranquil oasis on the Amalfi coats.

The hotel is a little bit of tranquility, on the Amalfi coast. The family run hotel was an excellent base, only a short journey into the heart of Sorrento, (less than 10 mins) either by car or bus. We preferred the bus as the stop is only 100 yards from the hotel & parking can be a bit of a pain in town. The hotel its self is kept very clean, the rooms have a white minimalist theme, which is excellent & in keeping with its surroundings. It is situated amongst an olive grove, which is a great backdrop for the views of Capri & the Bay of Naples. The staff being very professional, polite & friendly. Elias the current mixologist/bar tender was always on duty, to offer his knowledge on choice of cocktails. We had several afternoon lunches at the pool dining area, during our stay which were always fresh & full of flavour, Elias again providing his choice of wines to accompany the meal. The continental breakfast, along with a small choice of freshly cooked items was always a good way to start the day. A lot of the items available are cooked in house by Rossa, a very tasty too. Linda was on hand at breakfast, to take your order & serve fresh juices, coffee & tea, if required. Prior to our arrival we where contacted on WhatsApp, by Walter the reception, inviting us to use this line of communication if we required any assistance during our stay for any restaurant or tour bookings, etc which was a nice touch. Thanks to Melanie & Rose for hosting us. Will be back

wunderbare Unterkunft in schöner Lage nahe Sorrent mit Blick auf Capri, Ischia ,Procida und Neapel mit dem Vesuv im Panorama. Die Amalfiküste ist mit mit ihren Sehenswürdigkeiten leicht erreichbar. Die Mitarbeiter der Unterkunft sind sehr freundlich und Aufmerksam Restaurantbesuche mit Shuttleservice oder Ausflüge werden Organisiert, am kleinen Pool mit Bar kann man sehr schön relaxen Mittags werden leckere Speisen angeboten es gibt eine Bushaltestelle direkt vor der Tür man ist in 15 Minuten in Sorrent oder kann zu den Badestränden der Umgebung fahren.

Rustige omgeving, prachtig uitzicht, zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Een aanrader! We zullen er zeker terugkomen.

Incredible spot, great value and excellent service

A hidden gem in Sorrento! We looked at dozens of places and settled on MelRose Relais for the ratings and good value. We were blown away with Walter's hospitality, the quality of the property and the good location. An absolutely relaxing spot, you don't really even need to leave if you don't want. Walter helped us with free shuttles to several local restaurants so we could leave our car and the bar and pool service were great and friendly. Would absolutely stay again, we wish we could have stayed longer last time!

This is a beautiful place to stay! Quiet, a walk away to a small beach area with great restaurants. Walter and staff were absolutely AMAZING! They took care of all of our needs. I would definitely stay there again! Grazie mille!

Melrose Relais was a dream stay for me after a busy 4 weeks travelling for work. The hotel is super quiet and peaceful and is very close to Marina Di Puolo which is a lovely little beach front, much calmer than those directly in and around Sorrento. The hotel is close to public transport, the breakfast was great and the guest services were impeccable. I really loved my stay there. My only tiny feedback would be that it would be of benefit to non-italian speaking guests to have a subtitles option for the television. Not that I came to Italy to watch TV at all, but it was a bit of a frustration on those nights i'd come back to my room after a long day at the beach/ hiking and didn't feel like reading a book etc.

Amazing hotel!

Walter was the absolute best. He was so helpful, friendly, and kind. He does it all and does it well. He gave amazing recommendations and was so helpful with setting up reservations and transportation. The food and drinks were amazing as well. If you are looking for a quiet modern place to stay with amazing hospitality go stay at the Melrose.

I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. The bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean. The host (Walter) was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast and staff was amazing. The only warning I would give people is this is a 45 minute walk to Sorrento on a narrow dangerous road. Busing into Sorrento is an option as they run every 20-30 minutes, bus stop is 2 minutes away. I would still highly recommended this hotel and stay here again!!

sehr guter Service, hervorragendes!! Frühstück in einem nahen Restaurant mit zwei unglaublich freundlichen Bedienungen. Zimmer geräumig und sauber. Anlage sehr gepflegt mit schönem Pool. Umgebung mit schönen Wanderungen. Alles deutlich ruhiger als Sorrent oder Amalfi aber genauso schön.

Firstly, when we arrived to Sorrento, we were unable to ask the hotel how to get there by bus. We walked 35 minutes (with 45lb back packs). We ended up stopping and asking a hotel on the route to get us a tax. The taxi driver showed up and took us the wrong way. A 5 minute cab ride costed $50 Eruos (Canadian exchange is terrible at that). We got dropped off a 5 minute walk away as the taxi had no idea how to get there and I wasn’t allowing him to charge us anymore). The hotel manager was wonderful but said he had issues with his computer and phone and that is why we weren’t able to contact him. Once at the hotel, we loved every minute! It had beautiful grounds, once we learned bus EAV was so easy to ride (walk out of the hotel, go left at the entrance and right by a hotel on the right there is a bus stop (it’s 2 minutes to walk there, not even maybe that long). The bus comes every 20 minutes and the make change on the bus for money. The room was really nice, although the workers worked late our first night and I had to contact the manager. It was soon done and back to being quiet and peaceful. Hotel MelRose is a hidden gem. It’s a 15 minutes bus ride to the centre of Sorrento but we didn’t mind it at all. We even walked our last day and it took 45 minutes, with stopping to take breath taking view in! Would definitely come back again and never use a taxi ever again.

We spent 4 nights at Melrose. This is a wonderful boutique hotel, (only 8 rooms) located surrounded by nice gardens and a quite atmosphere away from the noisy city. Parking is offered and, if you have a car, moving out to the surrounding towns and costa Amalfi is simple. Walter was waiting for us and had a reservation at a restaurant located nearby and booked us for a day tour to Capri (don't miss this) on a 12-person boat. We stayed at the junior suite with it's own terrace where you could have spectacular views to the Capri Island side and to Vesuvius Volcano. Great sunsets by the way. Room was a bit smaller than expected, but the terrace compensated that since it gave us an open private space to enjoy the panoramic views previously mentioned. Breakfast at the Bistro down at street level were complete and delicious with great coffe plus a super personalized attention. We could not enjoy the pool because of the low temperature but I imagine will be nice in the summer. In summary, this is a great hotel to spend your vacation days at Amalfi Coast where you can choose to relax or move to explore nearby towns, including Sorrento which is the largest city around.

Very lovely property, extremely clean. We had a wonderful stay thanks to Walter, Linda and Rosa for looking after us with delicious food advice on what to do and see always there whenever we need it. This place is incredible because of those people. Really recommend if you looking for a nice quiet hotel. I only wished the swimming pool was heated as unable to use due to temperature and no Spa facilities as advertised.

Fabulous hospitality. I came during the very end of the tourist season. I had the place to myself and was still treated as a king. It's a $25 euro 1.5 mile cab ride from Sorrento, but the bus is a $1 euro option and one i took into Sorrento every morning. There are no dinner options on site, but Martina called a restaurant that overlooked the ocean up the road and they sent a driver down to pick me up.❤️ They have a cafe on site and Ginavre cooked breakfast. Bith girls spoke English and were very friendly and conversational. The grounds are impeccable. The place is wonderful. Peace on the Tyrhennian Sea with views of Capri and Vesuvious. Highly recommend Grazie ❤️ 🇮🇹.

Love this place and will be coming back! The staff were welcoming and the property is beautiful and has a lot of Charm. Our room was clean, comfortable and equipped with modern amenities. The owner Melania was kind and super helpful, giving us recommendations for things to do in the area! The food at the hotel Resturaunt was delicious as well. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Very well kept, clean and fresh!!! The rooms were quant and airy ! Very attentive staff, specially the young lady at the breakfast room…, Frederica?! She was so accommodating, friendly and offer excellent service. The pool and bar area is so beautiful and relaxing. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for something more low key but high quality. Just minutes outside of Sorrento.

Stay here for a perfect vacation

This is THE BEST hotel I've ever stayed at. The property was absolutely beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even speaking italian to our tour group when we had a small mix up. The pool area was AMAZING. You could stay on the hotel property all day long and it would be a perfect vacation. We had food and drinks by the pool surrounded by olive trees. It was perfect. Not to mention the stunning view from our room. 100/10 would stay here again.

From start to finish the service was amazing. The room was amazingly clean and modern. The food is excellent and the staff can’t do enough for you. The pool and Bar are Excellent. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone and would definitely stay again.

The accommodation was excellent clean modern and high standard the pool was child friendly and again very clean. Food was a bit pricey but good. Shame there is no real beach nearby but that is not the hotels fault. I can strongly recommend this accommodation for families

Gorgeous landscape design! Super nice staff, Thanks Marco! You are awesome! you too Martina! Great breakfast! Just the room we stayed at was smaller than we expected but we still enjoyed it! One note, expect to have challenge finding the hotel even if you are using map apps. No visible sign! I could not understand why! We had to remember the name of a hotel across the street to locate MelRos Rlais.

This hotel is far beyond a 2 star hotel! The staff was very nice, breakfast each day was very good, our room was a great size, and we loved the pool area and all of the flowers and trees around the property.

Highly recommend Melrose.. Great people, great service, very clean accommodation all in a great location. Only negative was the price of the drinks, but that’s a choice!

Positif : chambre récemment rénovée. Cour extérieure superbement bien aménagée, avec piscine. Stationnement disponible sur place et sécurisé. Négatif: Aucune aire commune intérieure, tout se déroule à l'extérieur.

This place is a special find. Its unique...beautiful and they could not do enough for us. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back.

Excellent service and exclusivity at the property. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful garden and incredible views from the balcony. Breakfast has room for improvement.

THE BEST HOTEL! Great value! Amazing property, views, staff and amenities! We had the best time! it is a bit uncomfortable to get to Sorrento, but if you can rent a moto or car it is the greatest stay you could ask for!
