I always choose the 1 Hotel when I need a place to stay in the city, and every experience has been better than the last. From check in to check out, the polite, accommodating staff really go the extra mile however they can. Couldn’t recommend the hotel enough. Thanks!

Great ambience at 1 Hotel. The staff was very polite and accommodating. The restaurant options in the hotel were wonderful. We had dinner at Harriet’s Rooftop and brunch at Casa Madeira. Both were amazing. The lobby is beautiful and a great place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee.

The property was beautiful, the staff went out of its way to accommodate us, and everyone was extremely friendly. The food at One Kitchen was delicious and the atmosphere was upbeat , warm and welcoming!

I moved to the 1 after checking out early from The Fairmont which was truly terrible. This is the level of quality expected of a 5* hotel. All of the details, from the personalised greeting on arrival, the room walkthrough, welcome drink and snack, etc really contribute to an exceptional experience. All of the staff were lovely, with Adam (doorman/concierge/room guide) being the standout. Panoramic King Room was great - spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Pros : clean hotel and good restaurants on site Cons : small bathrooms, no view from room, noisy on weekends, no valet entrance (as you would expect in other high end hotels)

This is an excellent property with very helpful and friendly staff.

This hotel offered a very unique experience, both in the rooms and in the common areas. The atmosphere is amazing and picturisque. The flora lounge offers amazing cocktails and the food in 1 kitchen is fantastic. The staff were exteremly welcoming and hospitable as well.

3 Stars at best!

Very disappointed that they would not allow for delayed check out, when there is major construction and noise right across the street. We were woken up every morning by 8:00am to the sounds of sledge hammers and drills

Property manager was excellent. Restaurant lobby is unique and stunning. Meals were great. Location to restaurants perfect. Rooms were clean but a tiny bit of wear and tear noticeable around shower and inner bathroom door was stuck despite an engineer fixing

Other than the parking situation at this location, I would say everything was spot on. Cleanliness, quality of everything, and customer service. The hotel smells like a spa and feels like you left the country and arrived in Greece. I love the theme.

Amazing experience! Hotel and room was tidy all day. Staff was kind and helpful. The dinning and entertainment was also very pleasant No complaints!

Save your money. While the old Thompson has a fresh green facade, it tries too hard to be more than it is. The staff were friendly, but did not go out of their way to recognize the milestone we were celebrating. Our room was not ready upon arrival. Late checkout request was denied. Sink drain was clogged in the room. Plugs beside the bed did not work. Room was quite noisy. Expected a lot more for the considerable pricetag... would recommend looking elsewhere for a downtown getaway.

Lovely stay great service and beautiful room

I really enjoyed my stay at 1 Hotel. The service was impeccable and made my first trip to Toronto a safe and comfortable one. The rooms are clean, inviting, and spacious, and the common areas are beautifully kept. My only issue with my stay was outside of the hotel’s control, but still disappointing nonetheless. The building directly across from the hotel and the one next to it are undergoing construction currently and extremely noisy. I woke up to sounds so loud it shook my window. It was disappointing because I loved everything about the property, aside from my inability to sleep in on vacation. Regardless, I would stay again, once the work has been completed.

Fathers Day Travel

We celebrated Fathers Day at 1Hotel Toronto. We had an amazing time, great service and can’t wait to come back! We brought our 2 month old daughter and were accommodated very well

Fab stay

Great property and perfect location. If I had to make any comment I did not love the linen on the beds nor the pillows but they were fin and I’m very picky about that. But they make up for it in spades with everything else they do.

Likes: customer service, hotel’s focus on sustainability, filtered water, dining, modern, boutique, hip & chic aesthetic, room decor, layout and lighting. Dislikes:hotel lobby is the place to be on Friday night. Trying to get to the elevators to your room was like trying to get into a popular club. It was crowded and chaotic with lots of pushy tipsy people trying to access the rooftop without a key fob. Couldn’t easily enter the hotel for groups of people plowing through the front door to exit.

Amazing aesthetics all around the facility! Friendly staff members and great view on the roof. It’s easy to get around the city because you are right in the middle of it. Will come back for sure !

Just a fantastic hotel. Great people working in every part of the hotel. Really obvious that there is good hiring profiles and good development. Professional, personable, not-scripted. Location is excellent. Amenities too. The F&B is expensive, but not prohibitive, and the value for the rooms is decent. Just really great hotel and people!

Nice enough hotel and very friendly staff. I would probably go elsewhere next time due to the food choices and prices. All in all though it was a great weekend.

I like that there are lots of plants and fresh fruits available. Beds are comfortable.

Service was excellent. All of the employees that we encountered were very helpful and attentive. However, I wasn’t impressed with the location, the whole system for valet parking was really odd where you had to wait in the restaurant to get the car. I understand Toronto is a big city with traffic issues but we have never stayed at another Toronto hotel like that. The room was small and the hotel overall just looked like a remodeled holiday inn. Nothing luxurious or special like the ritz or Shangri la although it was just as expensive. I really had higher hopes for this place.

1 Hotel continues to be my favourite property in Toronto. Everything that one would expect from a hotel of this calibre can be found within 1 Hotel. And the body wash... You're going to have a hard time getting out of the shower.

Absolutely beautiful with attention to detail, eco-friendly, fantastic products and great staff. Nespresso in room and check out at 12 always a plus. We had the room with the deck access which was lovely. Loved the neighborhood too (many nice coffee shops and walkable).

Always love staying at this hotel. This was my first time staying here with my son and they were very accommodating to everything we needed.

The room itself was nothing short of stunning, with modern yet cozy decor that immediately made us feel at home. And let's talk about the bed – it was like sleeping on a cloud! After a long day of exploring the city, sinking into that comfortable bed was pure bliss. Overall, 1Hotel in Toronto offers not only luxurious accommodations but also a level of service that sets it apart from the rest. I can't recommend it highly enough for anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay in the heart of the city. I have stayed at many hotels around the world and this is at the top of my list.

Truly stunning and the most professional staff I have ever encountered.

I got stuck in the washroom, they had to take out the door for me to get out. What if my wife wasn’t there to call the front desk for help. There’s no phone in the washroom. I was there for over 30 minutes. Terrible

Wonderful stay, the suite room with the tub is phenomonal but the quality of everything throughout tells me a standard room would also be incredible. Great cocktails at Harriet's and a good happy hour, roof top is beautiful, all staff are super helpful. Parking lot right across the street.

the breakfast was super expensive and it wasn’t good. the coffee was actually awful. totally different than my last breakfast when i stayed there but the room was incredible and the staff are all top notch. i love this hotel. sad about the subpar breakfast experience but otherwise wonderful.

The hotel was generally good, but did not necessarily meet my expectations for a five star hotel. For example, in our washroom, the hand held shower head was faulty and did not work properly. The room was also smaller than expected and didn’t look exactly like the photos advertised on the website. The service was also generally good, but we didn’t feel like it was great. For example, we got 1 pm complimentary check out in the morning, but a hotel staff member went into our room at around 12:30 pm to ask when we’re planning on checking out. This was odd since we already received confirmation from front desk in the morning for late check out and a new room key too. Overall, the hotel was good but did not exceed our expectations considering the high price point.

Excellent property as expected. Valet was not available. Walked around the building to see someone at front desk. No one was there. Had to call the property to see if someone could come out and help us. That was a negative. The building and the amenities are perfection. Clean and top of the line.

It felt like home away from home. Design is lovely, very comfortable, and everybody was friendly.

All around great hotel! Staff was very professional and on top of everything. I will definitely be back!
