Villas Sur Mer

We had a most wonderful stay at Sur Mer. Beyond the convenience and amenities of the property, want to give a special shout out to Daniella - the property manager. Our car broke down on the way to the hotel late at night. Daniella was not on the property but she helped arrange a transportation for us, checking on us every once in a while till we made it to the hotel. Being in a foreign country, stuck late at night with no one to reach out to, Daniella proved to be a God-send. She ensured that we felt safe and were taken care of in the best possible way. we can't thank her enough and everyone else at the property as well. They are very welcoming, warm folks, always ready to help. The property itself provides a clean, quiet cozy piece of nature for your vacation. One of our best stays must say!!

The time spend was quite relaxing, the accommodations allowed my girlfriend and I to take a much needed reset. I highly recommend Villa Sur Mer to those who seek accommodations outside of normal hotel stays on the west end.

Ça ne vaut VRAIMENT pas le prix demandé. J'ai payé 140$CA/nuit mais après avoir pleuré ma vie je quittais au bout de 2 jours sur une réservation de 9 jours. J'ai été béni d'être remboursée puisque c'était au départ non remboursable. La piscine, le jacuzzi et le bar était FERMÉE!!!! Les volets de la villa pour la plupart ne s'ouvrait pas. Donc je devais allumer les lumières en plein jour. Contrairement à ce qui était indiqué c'est tout sauf tranquille . La route à proximité est très passante et c'est bruillant. Même pas une spatule pour tourner les oeufs....bref rien pour cuisiner et NON il n'y a pas d'épicerie à proximité, il faut aller en ville! Si vous ne comptez pas louer une voiture pour votre séjour OUBLIEZ cet endroit!!!! Le pire attrappe- touristes que j'ai vu en 4 fois en Jamaïque. Et les restaurants aux alentours sont hors de prix (48$CA) pour un burger chicken (ils n'avaient plus de boeuf pour un vrai burger) et une petite bouteille d'eau. Fromage en extra $$$$. Seul point positif, la gérante et son assistante qui ont été compréhensives et aidantes pour me sortir de ce cauchemar!

Very peaceful and beautiful place the pool and hot tub at night was amazing. Great views… just bring your spray for insect and a fan for the living room no AC in the sitting room only in the rooms.. but everything else look exactly like the pics u see on line.. 10/10

Advertising for this resort was misleading as the units available to us were not on the ocean. The ocean side rooms were not made available to us even though they were unoccupied. The pool area was nice but the waterfall was nonfunctioning. We did enjoy the stay and must note that we were away most of the day experiencing other areas of Negril.

The property is old and outdated. The room was not clean.

Will be back. Friendly staff and good location

Do Not Stay Here!

The place was probably beautiful at one point because the grounds are well kept. Yet the room I stayed in was dark, dingy, and the bathroom was covered in grout and mildew. They really should consider closing down and remodeling! Luckly I was only here for two nights, but still two too long!

Very friendly and welcoming staff from the security guard to the manager... i felt at home 2 minutes after arrival. The cave was very cool as well.

All of the staff was amazing and so friendly. Answered any questions we had. Our only snag was our transportation back to the airport was 45 minutes late. Plan to get back to the airport at least 4 1/2 early. Look forward to coming back

What a great place to stay. Has everything you need right nearby and the staff is wonderful. Highly recommend this place.

Ms Carmen was the absolute best! Her hospitality was phenomenal. Ms Donna was amazing as well, we thank everyone for everything! We will be back soon!

Quiet

The location of this little hotel is great. That being said the pool was a pretty sad place, the bartender looked surprised when a guest showed up, the security was basically high school kids, I had to jump the wall because the front door lock broke while I was out (if I were not in shape it would have been impossible), and our door lock broke. It’s a pretty terrible hotel. But if you’re just looking for a place to crash, it may work if you like sleeping with mosquitoes. All that being said, the restaurant across the street is crazy expensive, but fantastic. Food and drinks are amazing. Just expect slow island service.

Was on the west end, property was clean, rooms were clean and large. A beautiful ambiance.

Carmen and staff are great! I’ve been coming here for years. Restaurant right across the street and the food is excellent.

The villa was a little smaller than I expected, we were having issues with the toilets flushing. But the property and all the views were amazing. Everything was close by, even the streets were nice and clean. I would definitely stay there again.

It was across the street from ricks cafe which ended up being my favorite place to go in negril. The pool and hot tub were also very nice. All of the staff at villas sur mer were great, easiest check in ever.

The beds are comfortable, the rooms spacious, the staff is friendly, the pool was fun, and the kitchen is equipped with everything and a grocery store is a few minutes walk away. With all the good, the villa we stayed in felt a bit run down and could use some extra cleaning.

Nice accommodation for family. Spacious villas with all the necessary equipment. Walking distance to good restaurants. And, very picturesque cliff.

I enjoyed my stay and so did my family , I would definitely come back again . The view and scenery there was everything ❤️

I had a lovely stay at Villas Sur Mer. I went alone and felt totally safe the whole time. I loved being able to walk to local restaurants and sites, and that I could swim in the ocean (while staying on the land side that was more quiet). Highly recommended!

Villas Sur Mer is a lovely little property on the west end of Negril, located within walking distance to Rick's Cafe. Its very comfortable, clean & quiet. The manager, Carmen (?), was very pleasant, helpful and accommodating from the moment of check in to check out. The rooms are comfortable and fairly well equipped with some of the basic amenities (with the exception of an iron, ironing board and hair dryer. All of which you may be able to get at the front desk). There is a kitchenette and living area which I appreciated as I didn't know we'd get that. I will say, I would've preferred to have the TV in the living area as opposed to the bedroom. The property has a pool, a bar, and get this, an underground cave that leads out to a cliff with a very beautiful view!! Take some chairs down there with you and your company and have a beer or 2. You should get a lovely view of the sunset too. Overall, I was pleased with my stay. I wish I didn't have to leave but will definitely return. Give it a go!

Great location in the Cliffs in walking distance to Ivan’s and Rick’s. Grounds were well maintained, beds were comfortable and air conditioning worked well.

Very nice cave that you can go into and lounge by the ocean.

Do Not Stay Here, Dangerous.

My partner beat me and when I asked staff for help and to call the police, they let him get away. on my birthday. worst experience of my life. One of the security guards, even called me sick? I had blood and a swollen face and nobody helped me. I was alone in Jamaica. A young 29 y/o woman. They heard me screaming for help and didnt come help for almost 15 min because we were making too much noise. The whole situation was sickening.

The 2 bedroom cottage was so nice and modern. We all loved the strength of the WiFi ! And the pool was soooo lovely!

This was a great choice. The staff caters to your every need and ensure you enjoy your stay. From the moment you enter into the private gated resort, you step into another world. The pool and jacuzzi area around the bar is wonderful. Very quiet and serene. Just a few steps from Rick's Cafe so always something to do. Don't forget to get a massage in your room or the cave. That was awesome. This is my new secret escape.

We had a wonderful stay and definitely recommend this spot for a very calm jungle villa experience. We stayed in the three bedroom villa and it was beautifully built and maintained. The pool felt like our own private pool (with a waterfall!) and the perfect spot to relax with a drink before or after your activity or make it your activity! Food and views at the cafe LTU across the street were also delicious. Rick’s cafe is also right across the street, and although It was fun to see people jump from the cliffs (we jumped too!) it felt a bit too touristy for us. Some other spots we enjoyed right in this area were wake and bake cafe, Barney’s hummingbird garden, and just natural cafe. We had the hands-down best meal of our trip at Murphys west end restaurant which is just up the road. If you’re looking for a super chill Jamaican escape I think west end is the best end, and Villas sur Mer is the spot. Thank you to Carmen and the rest of the kind staff who make this a magical oasis. We hope to return soon!

Love the tranquility and view of the property. Spent a week here and can’t wait to come back In august.

Villas Sur Mer is always our go to spot in Negril. Perfect accommodations on a beautiful property. The best of the the west end for sure.

This place was so nice and off the beaten path. Carmen was also very helpful and Nica at the bar was wonderful. We will be back. We had a 2 bedroom with 2 bathrooms. The shower was outside, but that was fine with us. They had a great pool/hot tub area we hung out at a lot. It felt very tropical. The access to the ocean was great. It was a little difficult, but all 4 of us did it. 2 adults,13 and a 7 year old. They of course had lifejackets. The snorkeling was really great there. We will be back and thanks for everything! :)

You leave the busier streets of Negril into a tranquil quiet space that feels like you’re alone in the rainforest. The rooms are designed beautifully like something you’d experience in Tulum or Bali. There is always someone available 24h, & they gave great suggestions for what to do during out stay, with info on how to get there, how much it should cost, & what hidden spots we needed to check out. Highly recommend!

Villas sur Mer was a delightful location for a week's stay in Jamaica. The property was small with a nice pool and hottub. The rooms showed a little wear and could have had more kitchen stuff, but were comfortable and clean. The staff was great. Very helpful and friendly. The property is located in Negril's West End, with good dining close by. The beach was accessible with a short taxi ride. We would certainly go back there!

This property is a tropical paradise! We loved our stay there. The entire staff were wonderful and very accommodating. The unique villas were beautiful and had lots of amenities. Our villa had some issues with water but the staff were quick to help us and we went with the flow. It actually made the vacation more Special. We hope to go back to this stunning area again, it’s truly beautiful!

Great location in Negril - walking distance to many restaurants and a short taxi ride to the beach. Basic but comfortable villas with good WiFi. Very kind staff!

Hidden gem

I normally only stay at all inclusive, so this was a gamble, we won! Great location wonderful surroundings it’s a little hidden oasis’s
